Cancer New Moon Forecast 2025

Preamble:
The new moon can be thought of as a window in time when the Higher-Self initiates specific lessons or personal growth intentions for the coming month, and we can use the lunar cycle as a way of decoding evolutionary forces at a more granular level than the solar cycle or the transits of the slower moving planets.
For the spiritually minded person, the new moon is a time to receive the seed impulses for one’s personal evolution, and specifically those impulses toward bringing something new into conscious awareness. Each moon cycle fits into a larger cycle, which begins at the Aries new moon, and if you seriously want to track the unfolding pattern of higher-self guidance, it is a really good idea to record a log or journal of key messages and impressions received in the few hours before and after the new moon, roughly 4-5 hours on either side. During this window of time, make space to be more meditative and pay attention to your thoughts, inspirations, psychic messages and so on, as these will tend to correspond to the archetype the new moon is birthing in at the time, and correlate to the growth themes we are meant to work with during the month.
At some point in time (after a few months) you can look through your log and begin to see a key pattern unfolding, which can stimulate further insight in terms of life purpose.
To begin with…
The Cancer New Moon initiates energy toward connecting more deeply with our emotions, and in general this month, energises community and family connections, and a time when we can and perhaps should attend to how we feel, and nurture if necessary, in safe spaces, allowing any unattended emotions to fully process. We don't function optimally if we are dragging the weight of the past behind us, and we can't respond appropriately to life if we are actively disconnecting from what we feel.
The Cancer lunation can be a gestational period; new information garnered during the Gemini lunation may have stimulated and awakened new possibilities within us, and now the time is ripe to check in with the feeling-body to get a non-mental sense of where we are at and what we really want.
This new moon comes fast on the heels of the June Solstice and the chart cast for the new moon features 3 Yods, several inconjuncts and a Grand Trine, making for an internally activating month. Lets take a deeper dive into the archetypal themes on offer for the month ahead…

Taking care of feelings as deep changes take place in the world
The New Moon is in a close conjunction to Jupiter and Asbolus, and forms part of a Yod formation with Mars and Pluto, while also in close square to Neptune and Saturn, and trine to Haumea. When we consider the liminal gateway nature of the new moon, there are some striking alignments channeling right through and imprinting the field.
Jupiter’s recent ingress into Cancer activates spiritual growth and expansion through an immersion with the Goddess in all her forms for the next year, now further amplified by the Cancer New Moon. Jupiter's conjunction to Asbolus, a centaur that bridges various realms and dimensions into space-time physical and cellular awareness, suggests this month as a time when key activations through the Goddess energy can open us up to multidimensional awareness in ways that help us navigate and make sense of things from a higher spiritual perspective.
Any such insights can readily be translated into action via Mars in Virgo in ways that serve, heal, and cause us to adapt and change. The New Moon, linked to a Yod, emphasises this month as an opportunity to come into a more optimal alignment with the evolutionary directive of Pluto in Aquarius.
This is a time when we can received messages from the soul level, helping us adjust to the new Aquarian impulse toward liberation and greater awareness.

What does the new Pluto in Aquarius evolutionary cycle ask of me now?
Pluto is currently retrograde so the process is very much about coming to terms with the new evolutionary directive at the personal level:
What do we need to release as we move forward?
A spiritual reboot
Saturn and Neptune in Aries are now initiating a profound reboot of reality [over the next few years], and a close square to the New Moon is asking us to navigate with our feelings into this new reality potential, as we dance on the threshold of something very new. We won’t be able to understand this shift mentally yet, but we can begin to sense it with our feeling nature and begin to have a relationship with it as a first step.
There are many levels of interpretation for the Saturn/Neptune conjunction in Aries, which will take time to fully explore. Some of the themes will pertain to the return to the masculine as part of the way we look to solve existing problems. In personal terms this means stepping into spiritual-warrior mode; stepping up in terms of the spiritual path, perhaps deviating from old ways and habits, to explore new spiritual ideas and avenues. For those actively spiritualising, we are heading into unchartered spiritual territory.
An inconjunct to Mars in Virgo will mean some adjustments now have to be made in the way we practice spiritually, and the way we are being called to be of service in the world. Something is changing, and we won’t be able to go on as we have so far.
Saturn and Neptune form part of another Yod with Mors-Somnus and Haumea at the apex: although there will be an emergence of masculine active energy in the world, this new masculine quality will be tempered strongly by the Goddess energy represented by Haumea in Scorpio.
The new masculine emergent energy, one that is more spiritualised and elevated than before, is going to activate more awakening from our collective loss of awareness via Mors-Somnus in Gemini. Something is going to become very clear in the coming years.
Haumea made her ingress into Scorpio 2022-2023, where she now ushers in a profound death-rebirth opportunity into the "New Earth consciousness"; a symbol for the "3rd attractor"; a new timeline that brings humanity to a 4th density/5th dimension reality. Her position at the apex of this Yod indicates that the new emerging spiritual paradigm or "reboot of reality", now in the very early stages of initiation through 2025-2026, is deeply governed by the Divine Feminine principle that makes possible the shedding of an old reality and the generation of a new one.
In personal terms this Yod highlights a deeply internal process of negotiation; as we wake up to new personal truths, new personal evolutionary maps and guidelines, new timeline opportunities, new ways of making sense of existence, new ways of feeling interconnected with the Living Field Matrix, and so on, we have to be willing to let go of what was, and at times that may make us feel vulnerable and insecure. My sense is that many will be required to make internal adjustments on an ongoing basis as we de-couple from the False Matrix reality and explore widening new vistas of possibility.
The Saturn - Jupiter squares: Aug 2024 - June 2025
Jupiter is now making his 3rd and final square (June 15th 2025) since the last Saturn-Jupiter conjunction at 0˚ Aquarius on the December solstice of 2020. The Saturn-Jupiter synodic cycle represents the evolution of order and structure in the outer world through leadership, governmental institutions, and societal structures, while at the personal level it is anchored in the evolution of purpose and meaning, relative to karma and life lessons.
This means that since Aug last year we have been in a degree of crisis of meaning and purpose, or undergoing some kind of reorientation in terms of life path and a personal sense of purpose.
Saturn itself is in the midst of a profound rebirth as Saturn moves into Aries through a conjunction with Neptune; old personal structures on any level can simply dissolve away as we find ourselves in new territory wondering where the the old life went.
This energy of renewal is further emphasised through the Saturn-Jupiter squares because Jupiter (along with the Sun) acts as an ordering principle; through beliefs and how we make sense of the world, we develop a cohering sense of meaning and purpose. The 1st Saturn-Jupiter squares represent the birth of a new way of making sense of things, which could have dynamic effects of how we move forward in life. This 3rd and last square represents the culmination of the re-orientation process, which is further enhanced by the recent Jupiter-Sun conjunction right at the square on June 24th; emphasising the death and rebirth aspect of these times.
On the personal level we can expect to see the inner process bringing about a change in meaning or purpose, a reshuffling of priorities, or a change in philosophy and belief, and it could also bring about new understandings or a revision in the way we see things that could bring us to a new level. This type of inner change may not necessarily feel easy - these changes may come about through some kind of crisis, conflict or challenge. Perhaps we have been feeling these inner changes for a few years already, have not felt ready to change, but now it feels we have to take action in some area of our lives.
A new galactic awareness
A 3rd Yod featuring Uranus, Varda and Mercury, together with a Grand Fire Trine featuring Chiron and Varda, speak to me of building momentum in the world, toward a new galactic awareness.
Not so long ago, the majority on the planet believed their technocratic gurus, who told us that the Earth was a rare occurrence in a random universe bereft of any meaning. The idea of extraterrestrial contact belonged solely to the sci-fi arena, and certainly not part of real life.
Collectively we have been oblivious of our place in the grand scheme of things, unaware of who we are, lost to ourselves in thick mists of species level amnesia. And yet it seems ever more obvious that we do in fact belong to something vast and beautiful, and that we are not at all alone, and that the sheer size of the galaxy is very likely home to a plentiful array of planets bearing intelligent life.
The "New Earth possibility" goes hand in hand (to my mind) with a sense of inclusion within the galaxy we so beautifully call the Milky-way. I say this simply because ascension into a loving and peaceful world relies on our capacity to realise an interconnection with the universe as a living intelligent 'play' of the One Creator.
Varda at the apex of a Yod exerts pressure on Uranus and Mercury; the higher and lower octave of our mental function. All three archetypes are in the last degrees of a sign, adding evolutionary pressure to wake up to something, or figure something out. If we look to the decan rulers for each part of this Yod (decans are ancient astrological divisions of a sign), Varda is ruled by the Sun suggesting powerful potential for personal illumination, while Uranus under the decan rulership of Saturn, speaks to the liberation from entrenched and dogmatic ways of thinking, and with Mercury under the rulership of Neptune, communication with the spiritual realms or a new understanding of a spiritual nature is enhanced, often through the dissolution of illusions. Uranus in particular at the anaretic degree (the last degree of Taurus) emphasises distinct karmic pressure to liberate into new ways of thinking.
Varda, also part of a Grand Fire Trine, works seamlessly with Praamzius and Chiron. Varda representing celestial intelligence emanating from the Galactic Centre (Logos), harmonises with Praamzius the planetary Logos, while Chiron acts as the frequency bridge, stepping the energy down so we can better assimilate it.
These are powerful alignments enabling us to receive paradigm busting insight and information from benevolent members of the galactic family, in ways that are healing and empowering. The solstice liminal gateway will amplify greatly the potential to have a CE5 (spiritual/telepathic close encounter) experience if one truly wishes to, and is ready to. My sense is that many thousands of individuals are ripening for such contact.
Expansion through shadow-work and the healing of the pain of separation
Chiron is also in exact inconjunct to Typhon in close conjunction with Dark Moon Lilith in Scorpio. Both these archetypes relate to aspects of the Shadow. DML speaks to weak or underdeveloped aspects of ego, and Typhon represents deeply suppressed parts of the self. Ixion the archetype of separation is also in a close opposition to the New Moon. This means that while there is ample scope for some exciting and uplifting shifts in personal awareness, there will inevitably be a shadow aspect within this process. High frequency energy inputs can activate degrees of soul retrieval moving us into more wholeness.
Nessus is in exact conjunction to the karmic North Node in Pisces close to T-Wako, and Nessus is the centaur (bridging realms) that links us to places of deep internal suffering connected to separation and the loss of the feminine. Nessus energy can induce spiritual catharsis as we burn off residual karma and low frequency energy.
The concurrence of Nessus, the North Node and T-Wako highlights the spiritualisation process as one that must reconcile with the shadow aspect of reality in order to transcend to a new level of awakening. In this way we can attain a more elegant quality of alignment with the Higher Power.
Finally…
There are some powerful alignments this Solstice and New Moon carrying us forward until September. We are being asked to move into correct alignment with the new evolutionary directive symbolised by Pluto in Aquarius. This is a time of steady adjustment; something is changing for each of us at the individual level and this will be felt in some way this month. There’s going to be an intuitive feeling-sense guiding us, and if we are ready we might burst wide open into radical new spiritual experiences.
There is a lot to consider, but I am most drawn to the Venus/Albion conjunction despite it not being heavily aspected (perhaps because of this); it feels like a beautiful synergy supporting personal spiritual progress this month; the love emanating from mother nature is greatly supportive; our inner life is infused with optimism and vitality; and there is real power in the integrative nature of the heart through which everything can be balanced and mitigated - it is through love that we make real sense of things; it is through love that we can heal and become whole; and through Gaia’s love we can stabilise and integrate the gifts of ascension available to us now, if we choose to receive them.
