Virgo Solar Eclipse Forecast 2025

Preamble:
The eclipse cycles trigger waves of energy that influence all of us internally and externally. The imprint of energy as captured by the chart calculated for any eclipse, tends to get carried forward in time on a wave for about 6 months, and so makes for a useful method of forecasting.
All eclipses represent a break in the normal transmission of light from the sun, and that means the transmission of spiritual information received at the soul level of our beingness. For me the eclipses represent changes and shifts in the way our self-realisation process unfolds, keeping us in tune with our pre-intended life-purpose prior to incarnation. In essence, eclipse energy imbues us with an impulse, which when acted upon makes us feel like we are on track, energised, and purposeful. How this affects us in detail can only be determined by cross-referencing with a natal birth chart, but we can look to the overall themes to see how the world in general will be influenced, to give us a sense of the psychic weather patterns shaping things over time.
A Solar Eclipse takes place during the new moon, so it can be viewed as an enhanced new moon. Not only can we receive Higher-Self seed impulses for the coming month, we also can receive awareness that alters our growth path, or new lessons can be initiated, which will carry beyond the month over a 6 month period of time.
Overview
This year a partial solar eclipse in Virgo occurs just 23 hours (approx) before the Sun’s ingress into Libra, marking the September Equinox, making this moment in time, 21st-22nd Sep, an enhanced liminal ‘gateway’ for subtle cosmic energy patterns to influence the field.
In effect, the solar eclipse energy dynamics will be further amplified through an extended time window, generating a stronger than usual imprint into the collective psyche.
Normally I would cover both events in two separate forecasts, but since there are only very marginal differences in the charts, I will instead treat these cyclical astrological events as merged.
(I will however be posting an equinox special forecast focusing on a specific alignment of significance for added nuance)
Both eclipses and equinox/solstices represent moments in time when the veils between dimensions are thinner or more permeable, and I, like many other astrologers, use these liminal opportunities as useful markers for divining the archetypal ‘weather’ influencing the world for a 3-6 month period.
The Virgo Solar Eclipse closes this eclipse season, after a lunar eclipse in Pisces on 7th Sep. The time period between the solar and lunar eclipses is in itself a liminal ‘threshold’ period (about 2 weeks) when we may feel like we are straddling worlds as we shift between 2 frequency bandwidths. This means that the Equinox wave will carry the full energy potential of both eclipses!
Its safe to say that we are in a time period of a few years when profound energetic change is taking place on the planet; its a time when we are all receiving powerful ascension impulses that are radically altering the way we move forward into the future.
Pluto has just moved “out-of-bounds” until Nov 9th, just a few days after the lunar eclipse, which represents an intensified moment in time when the evolutionary energies will generate a great deal of momentum toward revolutionary changes to our social paradigm toward a fairer, kinder and more abundant world. This “out-of-bounds” amplification of energy will occur every year for the next 10 years giving us fair warning that the acceleration is only just beginning.

A 2nd Virgo New Moon emphasises purification
The solar eclipse is also a new moon, and there is something complex and potent about the convergence of the following symbols: an eclipsed sun and a new moon occurring very close to the equinox.
New Moon energy always initiates new things, solar eclipse energy always generates a frequency adjustment and resets the karmic energy flow, and the equinox as a moment of precise balance between day and night in the sign of Libra, speaks to the cultivation and maintenance of natural law balance and equilibrium.
The New Moon in Virgo initiates higher-self impulses that draw us inward to update our internal reality as we navigate accelerated energetic change. This is the 2nd of 2 new moons in Virgo, giving us more time for adjustment. We are more than likely going to feel a need to reflect and analyse where we are up to on our life journeys, and if we have been taking on a lot of external information, this is a month for sifting and clearing out inappropriate energy through discernment.
This is a good month for healing, ritual, purification and cleansing protocols, which may carry forward for 6 months as a theme due to the eclipse wave. Cleansing will be connected to past karma for the most part - tidying up so we can move forward more resolved.
This Solar Eclipse in Virgo occurs close to the lunar South Node, initiating life adjustments that help us make sense of, and move on from the past. While the Lunar Eclipse in Pisces energised significant healing processes as part of an awakening movement, the Solar Eclipse wave will stimulate more awakening, especially with regard to who we are as spiritual beings, with an evolutionary story that spans lifetimes.
With a Grand Kite, a Grand Trine, a T-Square and a Yod, this is both a balanced and highly energised energy infusion, so lets take a closer look at the archetypal patterns influencing the collective field…

Another potent gateway for spiritual activation
I’ve been noticing many opportunities for spiritual activation in recent years, and this month is no exception, and I think the relevance of these opportunities fits into the broader ascension experience. Spiritual activations affect all of us in different ways; some opportunities we might not always be ready for, while subtle shifts in spiritual awareness can also go unnoticed, until overtime we experience a seismic shift in consciousness. Ascension by its very definition refers to an upward movement toward higher densities of light away from the denser more compressed quantum fields we have been operating from, and much like rising to the surface after a deep sea dive, we have to do this gradually in small steps to be able to assimilate the higher frequencies attributed to the higher densities of light we are moving into. All spiritual activations can be seen in this context, representing manageable steps up in vibration.
The solar eclipse/new moon is a central symbol in the eclipse chart because it features in a Grand Kite, a Yod and a T-Square; whatever is being generated by the new moon cycle in Virgo is catalysing a lot of change.
The Grand Kite formation (a generally beneficial and amplified dynamic) positions the solar eclipse in opposition to a Saturn/Neptune conjunction. As mentioned in previous forecasts, the Saturn/Neptune conjunction is a big deal, and will only reach exact conjunction by degree in Feb 2026; reality is changing fast as the spiritual energies underlying manifestation rebirth at a higher frequency than before; old realities are continually dissolving as we prepare for something entirely new in the human experience.
Opposition energy represents an integration challenge:
What adjustments need to be made as the changing metaphysical ‘code’ alters our personal reality in subtle and not so subtle ways?
What do we need to heal, resolve and purify in order to move on from the old patterns?
Will we give time to the necessary inner work or will we postpone by being too busy?
Pluto in Aquarius is in close trine to the eclipsed sun, effectively channeling powerful evolutionary energy into the field, fuelling personal liberation and revolution. Uranus in Gemini is also trine to the eclipsed sun, amplifying the liberating and revolutionary energy, especially in terms of breaking through limited and dogmatic ideas about reality. At times sudden shocks may occur as a fixed way of seeing things is challenged.
All the impersonal planets, Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus, as well as Saturn, are now in retrograde motion, which means that while the eclipse sun acts as a channel for all of these archetypal energies, the process is particularly inward at this time; we are reviewing personal aspects of our lives, revisiting old stories, and potentially reclaiming power and agency along the way.
Contact with the Spirit-World
Aruwn at 29˚ Capricorn is culminating and now preparing to ingress into Aquarius since early this year.
As an archetype, Aruwn is connected with the myth of the otherworld, and correlates to certain types of mystical experience connected to the realm of the Fae people, the Tuatha dé Danaan, and the realms of the dead (those loved one’s recently passed). By extension Aruwn relates to inner-earth experiences, contact with elemental intelligences and mythical beings like dryads, nymphs, pixies and devas.
This solar eclipse makes an exact trine to Aruwn (part of the Grand Kite dynamic) bringing these themes more boldly into play than usual. Spiritual activations may involve contact with beings from the otherworld in ways that have a profound awakening effect; we may even be blessed to receive help or information from these connections.
For those with a druidic or ceremonialist orientation, this 6 month window will represent a more powerful time for ritual work that aims to build contact with allies in the otherworld. My sense is that this kind of work (if we are drawn to it) will have transformative potential, and it might be the beginnings of a more open exchange between dimensions.
While Aruwn has been in Capricorn, one might say that reaching the otherworld has been done largely via traditional means such as Druidism or Neo-paganism (based on related traditions such as Wicca or Indo-European shamanism). The Capricorn cycle began in early 2008, and aside from a degree of interest in mediumism through celebrities like John Edward, James Van Praagh, and more recently Tyler Henry, I would suggest that there has been a degree of suppression of access in contrast to the previous Sagittarius cycle; in essence its become less fashionable. As Aruwn transitions into Aquarius (on the heels of Pluto) we can expect some radical new understanding beginning to emerge in relation to the otherworld, as well as a renaissance of interest as we discover, more and more, the vast nature of multi-dimensional reality. It is worth pondering though, that the myths about the otherworld go back a long way, and while there are all sorts of intelligences “out there” it may be that humanity has a longstanding and special connection with the otherworld, which I feel will be remembered as we shift paradigms.
Baptisms of fire
Most striking is Nessus conjunct the North Node in Pisces and Orcus conjunct the South Node in Virgo; a signature that began around May this year, which is peaking now, and will culminate by the end of the year.
Nessus transits generally add a degree of catharsis to personal process, and his conjunction to the North Node in Pisces presents us with a choice over transcendence:
Will we resist deep spiritual healing through escape tactics, or will we choose to embrace our suffering and sense of victimisation, and through catharsis, transcend to new ways of being?
Orcus in Virgo in opposition to Nessus ties the Nessus journey to the path of the soul initiate:
Can we overcome patterns of victimhood, guilt and masochism to deepen our connection to soul?
Will we choose to transcend past life trauma related to persecution and martyrdom in order to expand into deeper embodiment?
A Yod featuring the eclipse sun sextile to Typhon, with Chiron and Eris at the apex, ties this theme to a profound potential to reclaim lost aspects of the personal shadow in ways that initiate us into the feminine mysteries with powerful healing potential for both mind, body and soul; reconciliation with the Divine feminine is an inevitable part of the awakening journey as we bring well needed healing to the Divine masculine principle and reclaim it from the False Matrix distortion.
Mars conjunct Haumea in opposition to the apex of this Yod (Eris and Chiron) speaks to a profound renewal of the Sacred Masculine through the baptism of fire process; one that can bring more balance to the world.
Sudden revelations open the way for greater awareness of the path
An exact trine between Pluto and Uranus & Sedna energises the path of liberation from limiting ways of thinking, and at times even blowing open perceptual traps in ways that allow us to reconnect with the true essence of our being and our unique path we came here to walk.
Sedna, for the time being, is very much involved with how the False Matrix decouples every soul on the planet from their true essence and life purpose through long held forms of mind-control expressing as negative patriarchy; the socially encoded thought-forms that dominate consensus thinking, and permeate throughout society, especially through a military style schooling system (adapted from the Prussian model) that defines what to think and what to be from an early age. This fundamental violation, which entrains the individual away form soul-essence, effectively cuts us off from who we are, to become a ‘useful’ cog in the capitalist machine. If we assimilate the program successfully, we may believe we know who we are and experience degrees of happiness, at least for a time, but as we awaken, we begin to realise how much of what we habitually think doesn’t serve individual free co-creative expression, with a subsequent deep sense of loss and eventual soullessness.
The Uranus-Sedna conjunction in Gemini provides a powerful disruption to the mental programming, making it more possible to reconnect to our true essence. For some this may be a straight forward revelation or string of revelations, and for others it may involve working through trauma first. The Pluto trine adds an intensified evolutionary push toward liberation. These kinds of revelatory experiences may also kickstart a personal spiritual pathway, and for those already on the way there can be a spiritual detoxification process as we ditch false spiritual ideas and stories to break into new ways to spiritually engage. The onus here is evolution into more personal freedom.
The Uranus-Sedna square to Venus in Virgo, and an inconjunct to Haumea and Mars, highlight how such insights and revelations can generate deeper self-development through powerful purification of the heart and the internal relationship to self, in ways that bring renewal and transformation.
Finally…
Albion makes a trine to the South Node and Orcus in Virgo, and a sextile to the North Node and Nessus in Pisces, adding a generally expansive and productive energy to the way karma unfolds. It means that any challenges that may arise over this next 6 month period will be supported if we embrace an integrative approach to whatever comes up for us.
Psycho-emotional cathartic cleansing experiences (if they occur) serve to help us become more embodied in expansive and integrated ways; after the pain, there will be a degree of euphoria. In a similar way, the ritual release of past karmic patterns through purification rites will also reward us with expanded embodied states.
Albion has been featuring more in recent forecasts, highlighting how these times are linked to the actualisation of the human genome as we move into a new form of human being. Albion represents the ‘new activated human’ and his influence generally amplifies in beneficial ways much like Jupiter does.
