Gemini New Moon Forecast 2025

twins, gemini, moon, stars, sky

Preamble:

The new moon can be thought of as a window in time when the higher-self initiates specific lessons or personal growth intentions for the coming month, and we can use the lunar cycle as a way of decoding evolutionary forces at a more granular level than the solar cycle or the transits of the slower moving planets.

For the spiritually minded person, the new moon is a time to receive the seed impulses for one’s personal evolution, and specifically those impulses toward bringing something new into conscious awareness. Each moon cycle fits into a larger cycle, which begins at the Aries new moon, and if you seriously want to track the unfolding pattern of higher-self guidance, it is a really good idea to record a log or journal of key messages and impressions received in the few hours before and after the new moon, roughly 4-5 hours on either side. During this window of time, make space to be more meditative and pay attention to your thoughts, inspirations, psychic messages and so on, as these will tend to correspond to the archetype the new moon is birthing in at the time, and correlate to the growth themes we are meant to work with during the month.

At some point in time (after a few months and over the year) you can look through your log and begin to see a key pattern unfolding, which can stimulate further insight in terms of life purpose.

To begin with…

star, sun symbol, yellow

The Gemini New Moon follows the more internalised Taurus New Moon, and now the energy moves outward again. If we were paying attention, we may have observed new creative impulses arising at the start of the new astrological year last March. The following month, through Taurus, whatever we did notice and become aware of probably went quiet as we began to gestate and ground the new impulses. Now as we move into the Gemini New Moon cycle, we are likely to feel drawn to look outward for the information we need to nourish and support new emerging personal life initiatives. We may feel drawn to communicate more with others, and to share information, as we track and map the way things are unfolding in our lives.

Typically we are more open to new information and we have energy to process data, but just be mindful of potential overload as this will cause an implosion if we start spinning on too many info bytes. The key is in tuning into the right information, rather than wading through "info dross" trying to find the answers we need, which are most often found within anyway.

With Mercury close to the New Moon in Gemini, this could be a fast and potentially overactive month, and despite the danger of overload, there is real scope to broaden our understanding of anything we put attention on this month.

This lunation, the dynamics are a bit calmer, with a Yod, a T-Square and a few oppositions being the primary tension drivers, so lets take a deeper look at the archetypal patterns on offer for the coming 4 weeks…

More collective upheavals invite us to wake up

yin, yang, tear drop, water, fire

Typhon in Scorpio, representing chaotic shadow-eruptions, is in an exact opposition to Uranus in Taurus. We may not like the dark and disturbing aspects of human behaviour now occurring, but we do have a real opportunity to awaken through these collective events.

Typhon forms the apex of a Yod, forming inconjunct aspects with the Chiron/Eris conjunction in Aries and Jupiter in Gemini. Typhon has been transiting Scorpio since 2017, and represents the collective emergence of repressed shadow energy literally bubbling up to the surface for us to see. It’s not just the more obvious wars in Ukraine and Gaza, it’s a full spectrum of shadow expressions from muslim rape gangs in the UK, a knife killing epidemic [often children killing other children], the recent radicalised islamic car terrorism in Germany, and similar themes in many other countries.

These shadow expressions in the world are forcing us to wake up and get real. Chiron, Eris, Uranus and Jupiter (all in resonance by sextile and semi-sextile) are generating a powerful internal process in us. If we harness this well, there is real scope to master shadow projections, claim an effective objective viewpoint, while also following an integrative yet passionate stance on what is 'true’. This dynamic is pivoted on the development of greater humility through crisis and challenge.

New information, new ideas and new perspectives

head, brain, geometry

Pluto newly in Aquarius makes a trine to Sedna, Hygeia, Mercury and the New Moon in Gemini, and while Gemini encourages us to seek more diverse perspectives, Aquarius wants to move us out of limited and habitual ways of thinking as well. This month we may get some breakthrough-understanding of what the new Pluto in Aquarius climate is about, now that everything is changing faster than ever.

A key aspect now being activated is the healing of collective trauma through holistic means, with more active dissemination of holistic ideas and methods penetrating the consensus mainstream. The Sedna/Hygeia/Mercury conjunction may well bring forward new healing techniques as well as more scientific validation for existing holistic methods. An example of this could be through new data on medicinal herbs for cancer or dementia.

Central to the healing of personal trauma, is the subsequent improved capacity to access our innermost truth and purpose in life (the elevated expression of Sedna), and an increased ability to remain resilient in a world experiencing a peak expression of the Molochian False Matrix, which effectively decouples the soul from its intrinsic nature and purpose for being.

The Pluto in Aquarius era will both support and intensify collective liberation from the False Matrix, and while this is ultimately good, we can also expect a fair amount of chaos and violence as humanity effectively splits into two polarised collectives; those still adhering to the False Matrix reality, and those who are actively awakening and decoupling from it. This chaos and violence will express on all levels much as it does now, and for the most part (I hope) it will play out through identity politics, culture war and narrative warfare etc and not degrade into more kinetic or biological warfare.

My sense is that we are not through the worst of it yet, even though we have passed a tipping point toward the New Earth possibility, symbolising the “3rd attractor” i.e. the most optimal timeline that is neither dystopian nor catastrophic. Part of my reasoning is the imminent move of Uranus into Gemini and Neptune into Aries, both of which will amplify polarisation, especially in regard to perceived ideological truth. This may temporarily increase fragmentation into yet more diverse ideological groups clashing with each other, as we collectively move beyond postmodernism toward integral thinking. I will write more on Uranus and Neptune in later posts.

The seed point for a new reality

lemurian seed crystal

For those of us actively engaged with spiritual awakening, this is a very powerful time for the world. The very rare alignment of Neptune conjunct Saturn at 0˚ Aries, a place of creative potency, will occur in Feb 2026, and right now the 2 planets are just 1˚ apart, and Saturn itself is at 0˚ Aries.

The exact conjunction of Saturn with Neptune at 0˚ Aries next year will be the first since at least 12,000 years (according to Astrologer Pam Gregory). This highlights this time as of great significance relative to human evolution, given that 12,000 years ago the evidence indicates a great global cataclysm took place. Its also worth noting that Sedna who is now approaching her closest position to the Earth in 11,400 years (this will happen in 40 years time, but given her long orbit the influence is now already active) - the Sedna cycle coincides with collective trauma memory , and her recent ingress into Gemini will activate more and more data retrieval from that time, and more momentum toward collective trauma healing in the coming years.

The Saturn/Neptune conjunction at 0˚ Aries will initiate some powerful global changes, and it will depend on our collective frequency as to how this will fully express. However it will usher in a time of inspired action, and humanity as a whole, inspired by the Higher Power, moving into something very new. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the seed point for a more relevant post secular religion (in the sense of grounded collective spiritual practices) to arise in the world, emerging out of the New Age Movement, as well as a collective draw toward spirituality again, to fill the ‘spiritual gap' and revitalise personal meaning. For example this trend can be seen with Gen Z turning up in church in larger numbers, and the revitalisation of a post-secular christianity.

On a personal level, this year and next year are key years where the seed inspirational thoughts we receive can be properly downloaded in ways that carry us forward for many years to come. This is a time to listen deeply, and pay attention to the mosaic pieces given from higher dimensions, because as we bring our personal guiding symbols together in creative ways, I think it will help us to birth new pathways of service to a world now entering a new stage of ascension.

The relativity of truth

kaleidoscope

Jupiter in Gemini is in a close square to the karmic nodal axis, while in a close semi-sextile to Uranus, and Jupiter is a key archetype connected to how we make sense of the chaotic eruptions from the collective shadow, which I mentioned earlier. In a lunation that energises the impulse to learn, understand, and keep abreast of current affairs and trends, there is evolutionary pressure to bring objective awareness to our own personal belief patterns as we cultivate fresh new perspectives on personal and world events.

Jupiter in Gemini itself represents a key learning about the relativity of truth; what is true for me, may not be true for you, and what is true now, may not be true later on. Part of what we are seeing in the culture wars is a fundamental incapacity for complexity tolerance, which in turn causes many people to use violent or vitriolic rhetoric (trolling) as they defend their overly simplistic version of truth as the only truth. This same theme appears within fundamentalist extremist forms of religion, where the core belief in one specific story, and one specific 'true' way, eclipses all other possible spiritual routes and actively demonises them.

The Jupiter in Gemini cycle, May 2024 - Jun 2025 has been an evolutionary opportunity to discover a more complex and nuanced appreciation of current cultural issues as we ascend in frequency, while existing cultural structures decay. This is most clearly evident in the outright clash between the Blue Church (far left progressive liberalism) versus the new “conservative” Red Religion (to use Jordan Hall’s language). This clash is acutely polarised, with both sides somewhat lost in their idea of what is true and real, with little or no appreciation for anything that is ‘outside’ or ‘other’. The reality is than no one on the planet knows everything, and more than often a passionate, reactionary, or defensive position on what is perceived to be true is inevitably based on at best incomplete information, and at worst false data.

This lunation, the issues will continue to be challenging in this regard, due to the square to the nodal axis, which in effect generates two potential and polarised vantage points: on the Virgo South Node side a tendency to rely on ‘box’ definitions ad infinitum e.g. LGBTQ++, TERFS, far-right/far-left etc. which in turn leads to brutal and excessive criticism of everything perceived to be outside the accepted criteria of each sociopolitical mindset, while on the North Node in Pisces side, a tendency toward fantasy and ideals and the need to project the shadow aspects onto everyone else. While its clear that many are still engaged in polarised thinking, we can be sure some of us have been experiencing a shift toward a more complex and integrated way of seeing the world.

Saturn in Aries

Saturn, planet, man, Aries, stars

Saturn at 0˚ Aries marks a transition, over the next year, from Pisces to Aries. In traditional astrology Saturn is said to be in detriment when in Aries, which means that there is an inherent tension or struggle. At a time when the Pluto-Aquarius energies are accelerating the liberation from obsolete structures, from the most personal, to those that manage and control national and international affairs, Saturn now adds to this theme through a renewal urge and a strong impulse to break away from the past. This will amplify the Aquarian tendency to move against the status quo, and disrupt if necessary, existing structures to promote innovation and improvement, even if this creates fear and uncertainty in the short term.

During the Saturn-Pisces cycle [2023-2025], the inner-work was rooted in disillusionment, confusion about what is real and not real, and the dissolution of structures. If we responded well, we looked to spiritual systems for guidance or meaning, and if we didn’t, we probably got lost in shadow projections and escape strategies. Over the next year, this is going to shift toward more individualism as more people move away from official narratives and start looking after their own interests first and foremost, as a foundation for productive life change. Collectively we are also more prone to break away from old ways of thinking, feeling, and doing, to seek answers in new areas. For some this will arise out of the quagmire of confusion and disillusionment, and it will be a good thing.

Saturn in Aries is initiating the seeds for a new personal reality frame; a way to begin to make sense of the new era we are now entering. We’ll be keeping existing personal structures that work, but we will also be energised to figure things out in new ways, and be more inclined to do things differently and on our own terms. Collectively this theme energises innovation, implementation, and creativity.

So why the struggle? Well because the process of leaving past habits and structures behind isn’t easy because it requires us to take risks as we move into new things; we may have to move out of the comfort zone. Saturn in Aries is a time when we enter a more experimental period as we try to establish new patterns.

In the New Moon chart, Saturn is in a close culminating conjunction with Neptune; they will conjoin at 0˚ Aries in 2026, and for now we should pay attention to personal inspirations and recognise that we are all entering into new life territory in some way, and that knowing that we are leaving an old cycle behind can also feel overwhelming; we know things will not be the same again, but we don’t yet know how or in what way.

This month, with a sextile to Mercury in Gemini, it will be supportive to communicate with others, to share information, or to seek out new information as a way to better understand the type of changes now occurring. The emphasis here is in learning to navigate the new archetypal space in order to take effective action.

Action, impulse and serendipity

hands, touch, point, stars

This year the Aries New Moon, soon after the equinox, was a partial solar eclipse, which was followed a day later by Neptune entering Aries for the first time in 165 years. The lunar cycle reflects how we grow and develop at a personal level. Each new moon initiates specific growth themes for the month ahead, dovetailing with soul growth intentions over the course of a year [and more]. The Aires New Moon marks the beginning of the yearly growth cycle, and when this coincides with a solar eclipse, together with an outer planet like Neptune shifting signs, it marks this developmental year with heightened energy for significant change.

The theme of new beginnings has been with us for several years now, starting with the nodal axis shifting to Aries/Libra [2023], followed by the shift of Neptune and Saturn into Aries, when the nodal axis has just moved into Pisces/Virgo [2025]. So the theme of new beginnings is effectively spread out over several years.

The Aries Solar Eclipse in itself will carry the Aries themes forward for 4-6 months, while the Saturn and Neptune archetypes will carry Aries energy forward over the next few years as well. New beginnings are still unfolding.

The Aries energy always imbues us with an urge to take action, and with Neptune in Aries these impulses will be tied to Divine inspiration. This is a time to trust those instinctive impulses to just do something because we are being moved by higher forces to more optimal timelines (in some cases) and even if the impulse to act doesn’t seem to make much sense, sometimes we are being moved into situations that can connect us to completely different people or opportunities via serendipitous synchronicity. Trust in the insignificant, can open the way for big shifts to occur.

Finally…

While this month may see fresh new understanding and insight with regard to how the world is changing and our place within these changes, with Ixion in a close inconjunct to the new moon, shadow issues may be an active part of both personal and global processes, and we can be mindful of shadow aspects tripping us up or trying to get our attention.

prism, rainbow, stars, venus, mars, praamzius

With Hygeia and Sedna in exact conjunction and Mercury just 1˚ away, and all in close trine to Pluto, healing and integration are an underlying part of unfolding events. This healing potential will lean toward psychotherapy and the healing of the mental body linked to deep transformational work. Some of us may find outer events triggering old issues in ways that guide us deeper into the healing process.

With Mars in Leo trine Venus in Aries this is a time when needs and desires flow effortlessly and action taking in the outer world synchronises well with our inner reality; this will be a month inclined toward more creative action and risk taking, and with Mars conjunct Praamzius, our personal action in the world will be heroic and more aligned to the higher-power. This will be a helpful quality as we manage the changing evolutionary pace of these times.
