September Equinox Forecast 2026
A note on forecasting:
The aim of forecasting isn’t simply to try and predict what is going to happen; the reader is not meant to be a passive receiver of a "fixed fate", in fact quite the opposite. The nature and purpose of forecasting is to build a living relationship with the archetypal energies in play: as we read, awareness is activated on deep levels that support the way we relate to a changing and dynamic collective field.
A connection is initiated with the living field matrix much like a generous handshake, salutation or greeting. In a sense it is a sacred tending of the spiritual fire; a way we can positively engage the imminence of the field, so that we can prepare and adjust to shifts in the energy around us. Like the strumming of chords on a guitar, we don’t have to remember everything precisely, but instead allow ourselves to be moved and attuned. In this way we already begin to respond even without really knowing. In some instances key themes may sing to us in ways that become more meaningful as the weeks pass and life events unfold.
Preamble:
In astrology, the solstices and equinoxes occur when the sun enters one of the four cardinal signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn, and the cardinal signs act as doorways for metaphysical energy to more easily influence the field; they tend to initiate change. For this reason, much like with eclipses, which are also liminal magical gateways, we can use a chart cast for these days to gather useful information about human evolution and its affect on the world. I use the term magical in the sense of spiritual energy shaping matter, or the power of Mind to influence outcome, and in the case of the solstice for about 3-6 months.
The sun is central to the evolution of consciousness on the planet, and is directly linked to sun-spot activity and the transmission of visible and invisible light, and throughout the year, pulses of energy pour into the human collective field and the Gaian energy system, much like notes played on a piano generating a shifting musical chord over time. In this way the forecasts are best understood together and not just as sole events, but rather as energy downloads that mix and merge with those that came before.
Astrological symbols express quite differently depending on one's core vibration of consciousness, so there are numerous ways we each can experience how the cosmic energies in play move us. In addition I work increasingly with the newer archetypes correlating to new celestial bodies discovered since 2000. These newer archetypes operate at much higher vibrations than the traditional more personal ones, and this means that the more we ascend in vibration the more we become conscious of these newer cosmic players, and the more they influence us.
I write from an esoteric foundation and aim to decode causative patterns rather than the effects. I am not trying to predict exactly what will happen in the world, but rather to unveil the nature of the energy unfolding and the evolutionary opportunity available to all of us, so we are better prepared to respond individually.
To begin with…
An epochal Grand Minor Trine featuring Pluto, Neptune and Uranus is a current powerful symbol driving collective awakening, an astrological event that happens only rarely. Because of its current position in the zodiac, it means that the Equinox Sun triggers an activation pulse; an amplified standing wave turning the Grand Minor Trine momentarily into a Grand Kite aspect, effectively adding a pulse of solar ascension energy into the collective field during the Equinox Portal.
For a few days before and after the equinox, the transformative geometry of Pluto, Neptune and Uranus is channeled more openly and deeply into the planetary field, as it did last year, generating a ripple effect that will last some months.
Look to the house where 0˚ Libra falls in your natal chart to get a sense of where this energy download is going to be most readily felt; this is where the ripple enters your personal field and then permeates into your soul matrix.
For example:
If its in the 12th house - expect activity in your spiritual life to stimulate growth and change
If its in the 3rd house - expect written words, ideas, conversations or chance encounters to bring something new into your world
If its in the 4th house - expect your sense of identity, home, family or ancestry to be activated

The shadows of power and powerlessness now culminate
Typhon at the last degree of Scorpio represents the culmination of a collective and personal process that began in 2017 linked to shadow eruptions [sudden inner or outer manifestations] centred around core Scorpio issues such as control, manipulation and codependency, as well as abandonment, death and betrayal fears.
We have seen some shocking and seismic shadow eruptions in recent years, including several wars, sexual abuse disclosures, tragic migrant rapes and killings, and loner killing sprees. Typhon’s journey through Scorpio serves to push to the surface the deep seated collective field distortions that need to be integrated and released as part of planetary ascension, and at its culmination in Scorpio, the world is hopefully coming to terms with the reality of hidden violence and abuse so often bypassed or covered up.
Typhon is also squaring the lunar nodes as this culmination takes place, adding a karmic pressure to bring objective awareness to issues that trigger powerful personal and subjective viewpoints. Perhaps a key symbol of this process is the media amplified story of Lindsay Clancy in the US, who is currently on trial for 1st degree murder of her three young children. While there is no dispute over her killing her children, the case centres on her mental state and whether she is guilty or not, by reason of lack of criminal responsibility; if she suffered from postpartum psychosis (a mental state incapable of navigating external reality accurately) then the killings were neither planned nor intentional. Potent Typhonic eruptions can manifest as psychosis, especially if there were a key transit in a persons chart. This trial is a clear out-picturing of the collective process: a weighing and measuring between subjective viewpoints versus detached objectivity.
Of note: on the day of the killings Typhon was at 22˚ Scorpio in close trine to Neptune in Pisces, and also trine to Dark Moon Lilith in Cancer; a Grand Trine aspect with two shadow archetypes connected to Neptune in Pisces as loss of reality, Typhon in Scorpio as intense uncontrolled distortions, and Dark Moon Lilith in Cancer highlighting family and children. In addition transiting Typhon was in exact conjunction with Clancy’s natal Ixion, in this case activating Ixion as the archetype of murder/killing. An exact trine to natal Chiron in Cancer suggesting the event had karmic links to deep soul wounding in connection with children and ancestry, and the connection to postpartum psychosis.
This trial symbol is just one expression of the recent shift of the karmic nodal axis into Aquarius/Leo. You can read more on this two and a half year process here. In summary we are now collectively initiated into an evolutionary necessity to actively bring objectivity to powerful emotionally subjective perceptions. It is no longer sustainable to rant on about subjective beliefs and convictions without bringing in the light of detached objective insight.
The Typhon in Scorpio process ties into a Yod aspect featuring Ixion sextile Venus in Scorpio, with Uranus in Gemini at the apex: in one sense, Venus in Scorpio in sextile to Ixion, speaks to the lengths we may go to in order to get what we want and what we perceive we need from others. Venus in Scorpio itself highlights the shadow of codependency, where valued resources are perceived to only come from someone else, who must subsequently be controlled and manipulated. When paired with Ixion in Capricorn, the temptation may be to even break social law to achieve resource security.
As a collective aspect, Uranus in Gemini puts evolutionary pressure on us to open our minds to new information; to actively seek out objective insight, and if necessary, to expose those in our lives who are behaving from a controlling and manipulative pathological stance.
We are in a time period when this shadow within ourselves, our family, community, or beyond, can be exposed more, and understood more. Yods promote inner adjustments often toward personal healing and humility through self analysis. So while most of us won’t be struggling with this dynamic in a dangerous way, nevertheless we can expect the shadow of power and powerlessness to stimulate inner adjustment and change in some way.
Ego must integrate with Soul
Mars now at 27˚ Cancer is moving into a full opposition to Pluto in Aquarius, and at the time of the equinox will be making a T-Square with Chiron in Aries at the apex. T-Squares are typically stressful aspects, and the equinox wave will be carrying forward the theme of ego versus soul. At the full opposition Mars will be in Leo, where ego and identity can very much anchor into an overly subjective and arrogant position. For some of us this may be a time when what we want will feel blocked by forces more powerful than we are; we are meant to give ground to deeper soul based impulses. On a deeper level this is a signature for identity crisis - ascension keeps driving up the frequencies; pushing harder at the parts within that feel stuck or resistant to 4th Density consciousness and 5D awareness, and identity as a fixed structure must evolve as the soul does; we can’t keep the same self-image and at the same time expand perceptual awareness.
Chiron at the apex acts as a release valve for the inherent tension between ego based desires and soul based desires, and without doubt the ego will lose this battle. If we insist on going on as before, taking things too personally, feeling sorry for ourselves when things don’t work out the way we want them to, then crisis may emerge as a catharsis to force us to yield. If on the other hand we are wise enough to recognise there are forces at work bigger than we are, and are willing to integrate more with the soul’s path, then this dynamic T-Square will initiate us into a new level of identity and a new way of dealing with life.
Chiron is also the apex of a second Yod with Typhon sextile to the equinox Sun, and so in some cases the shadow of power and powerlessness will enter the process; temporary disruptions or dramas may serve to open us up more to the evolutionary opportunity of this equinox portal, where sudden and profound healing shifts can take place. Shadow isn’t the enemy, denial of it is; we can use shadow as a way to purge field distortion to become more coherent.
A key challenge will be in cultivating objectivity and detachment while immersed in the turbulence of distortion fields that may be emerging from within our own soul matrix. This is highlighted by Typhon in exact inconjunct to Chiron and exact square to the North Node in Aquarius:
Can we recognise distortion for what it is and move into healing, or will the distortion arise and trigger reactions?
The presence of Praamzius in trine to Chiron supports coherence testing as a way we move into more self-realised awareness, and vertical alignment through stillness.
The new geometry rewrites the pattern
Saturn and Salacia continue to be in exact conjunction in Aries, and part of a T-Square featuring Makemake, Logos-Zoë, Pholus and Quaoar:
Quaoar and Pholus have been conjunct in Capricorn for quite some time now and will continue to do so for some years yet. This pairing speaks to the ascension frequencies now destabilising the old 3rd Density social and political structures as we move steadily toward 4th Density systems anchored in love.
Saturn conjunct Salacia represents the seeding of higher 4th Density geometry at this time; we are all receiving the new frequencies, some more easily - with others resisting, and the new geometry is now accessible to us if we are coherent enough to stabilise it. This new geometry has links to past golden age high-cultures on Earth, and in particular Atlantis and Mu. Some of us will be remembering geometry we once enjoyed in prior lifetimes. Logos-Zoë implies an integration process or challenge; we can’t anchor the new geometry without a true balance between the Divine masculine and feminine principles within; the new geometry goes hand in hand with the revitalisation of Christ-Sophia consciousness.
How might this be experienced?
The sudden release of old ways of being; patterns we’ve been trying to ditch can finally pass away
Levelling up in the way we see reality; a new language for energy, life and meaning
Shifts in sensitivity; reading the field more accurately
New life maps; new orientations, new directions, new vision
Finally…
The Equinox pulse-wave carrying the Grand Minor Trine energies of collective change are most likely going to serve as personal initiators for the rest of this year. The Grand Kite equinox portal is also the apex of a Yod with Chiron and the North Node emphasising forward movement into new directions in one way or another. These new directions might challenge our sense of where we want to go, especially if we are rooted in ego based desires. This is further emphasised by the Jupiter-Moon opposition:
How do we integrate existing beliefs into a restructuring identity?
Can we temper heart-felt conviction with detached objective awareness?
Needless to say these are powerful evolutionary times, and the pace is not letting up. More than ever this is a time to follow the law of resonance and to learn to act only on what truly feels right, as well as a time when coherence building is essential to the stabilisation of higher frequency octaves of being.
