2026: A shift in the Nodal axis

As of July 28th 2026 the world shifted to a new evolutionary school-room lasting until March 27th 2028. In astrology this is reflected by the movement of the lunar nodes into the signs of Aquarius and Leo.

The lunar nodes are special because they are not themselves physical objects like planets, but are points in the cycle of the Moon where the Moon’s path crosses the path of the Sun. In traditional astrology the Sun and Moon were considered the Luminaries; they are in a different class to the true planets, primarily because they convey so much more light. These two archetypes are a natural dyad; dual expressions of the Monad; the masculine and feminine principles; Yin and Yang.

This shift of the nodal axis to a new sign polarity ushers in a change in the way we process karma and the way we move forward in life.

When working with the nodes, the south node is always the place we are trying to balance; the work is to mitigate existing distortions in the way we personally express the patterns of the past. The aim is not to move entirely away from the conditions of the south node, it is to evolve it through immersion with its polarity sign; to cultivate qualities that temper and refine what we have already earned and own. 

The nodes are always moving, and the complete rotation of the cycle occurs roughly every 19 years; we all breathe with this karmic unfolding. 

So lets take a look at some of the collective karmic evolutionary themes as the months unfold:

• South Node in Leo represents the archetype of the individual hero, the star, the one who shines and leads.

• North Node in Aquarius shifts the focus to the network, the collective intelligence, the anonymous innovator.

• Instead of one "life purpose," many will begin to experience distributed purpose; a sense of being called to contribute in multiple, seemingly unrelated ways.

• This is because the Aquarian field values versatility, collaboration, and cross-pollination.

• You may find yourself meeting people who feel like "missing pieces" of your puzzle, or being invited into collaborations that feel like destiny, not strategy.

The personal task

The next 30 months are an initiation into conscious collaboration, field coherence, and ego dissolution in service to the whole.

It's a time to:

• Release the need to be seen, and choose to be clear.

• Let go of personal drama, and embrace planetary service.

• Anchor your worth in your presence, not your performance.

We are being asked to reflect on our personal path of self realisation, and start thinking about how what we are becoming can best be put in service to the collective awakening now occurring.

Realisations may emerge that show us that we are not the centre of the process but an equal and valuable part of something much much larger.

If we have built identity on being special within our reality context, we may be asked to release attachments and become more of a team player. This might be challenging at first.

If we are trying to fulfil love deficits with the need for attention and approval from others, we may feel pressure to release this futile strategy in favour of inner healing and completion, as a path to greater freedom in the longer term.

Distortions may arise that typically express as taking something too personally, followed by wound patterns activating, and the choice to either dig down on victim consciousness and low self esteem or to choose to objectively see ourselves and our patterns with unconditional love and acceptance. 

More and more, coherence building will become life currency; the more we stabilise in our own lives, the more bright and novel new opportunities will present themselves. We must learn to balance the impulse to be the centre of our own destiny, with an authentic genuinely humanitarian call to be of service to the whole. Authentic sovereign human beings don't need to feel special; they are fluent in reading the field, yielding to resonance, and trusting in the path of the one heart.
