A note on forecasting:
The aim of forecasting isn’t simply to try and predict what is going to happen; the reader is not meant to be a passive receiver of a "fixed fate", in fact quite the opposite. The nature and purpose of forecasting is to build a living relationship with the archetypal energies in play: as we read, awareness is activated on deep levels that support the way we relate to a changing and dynamic collective field.
A connection is initiated with the living field matrix much like a generous handshake, salutation or greeting. In a sense it is a sacred tending of the spiritual fire; a way we can positively engage the imminence of the field, so that we can prepare and adjust to shifts in the energy around us. Like the strumming of chords on a guitar, we don’t have to remember everything precisely, but instead allow ourselves to be moved and attuned. In this way we already begin to respond even without really knowing. In some instances key themes may sing to us in ways that become more meaningful as the weeks pass and life events unfold.
Preamble:
In astrology, the solstices and equinoxes occur when the sun enters one of the four cardinal signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn, and the cardinal signs act as doorways for metaphysical energy to more easily influence the field; they tend to initiate change. For this reason, much like with eclipses, which are also liminal magical gateways, we can use a chart cast for these days to gather useful information about human evolution and its affect on the world. I use the term magical in the sense of spiritual energy shaping matter, or the power of Mind to influence outcome, and in the case of the solstice for about 3-6 months.
The sun is central to the evolution of consciousness on the planet, and is directly linked to sun-spot activity and the transmission of visible and invisible light, and throughout the year, pulses of energy pour into the human collective field and the Gaian energy system, much like notes played on a piano generating a shifting musical chord over time. In this way the forecasts are best understood together and not just as sole events, but rather as energy downloads that mix and merge with those that came before.
Astrological symbols express quite differently depending on one's core vibration of consciousness, so there are numerous ways we each can experience how the cosmic energies in play move us. In addition I work increasingly with the newer archetypes correlating to new celestial bodies discovered since 2000. These newer archetypes operate at much higher vibrations than the traditional more personal ones, and this means that the more we ascend in vibration the more we become conscious of these newer cosmic players, and the more they influence us.
I write from an esoteric foundation and aim to decode causative patterns rather than the effects. I am not trying to predict exactly what will happen in the world, but rather to unveil the nature of the energy unfolding and the evolutionary opportunity available to all of us, so we are better prepared to respond individually.
To begin with…
The Sun now moves into Aries initiating a new astrological solar year, which will be further stabilised by the following New Moon in Aries; we are collectively entering a new spiral of growth and development, and the energetic signature, amplified by the liminal nature of the equinox (when the day and night is of equal length), will impress into the collective field for about 3 months until the June solstice.
There is a sizeable focus of planetary energy in Aries, which means the energy of new beginnings is rising in the world, and in our personal lives as well. The energy of new beginnings is punctuated by Saturn and Neptune’s recent ingress into Aries, and their exact conjunction about a month ago, as well as other planets in the early degrees of signs: Varda at 1˚, Typhon at 1˚, Haumea at 3˚, Sedna at 0˚, Pluto at 5˚ and Uranus soon to ingress in to Gemini in July this year.
This is a more volatile and changeable time period, already marked by the US military engagement with Iran, not to mention sea changes in politics, and public opinion worldwide.
While Neptune and Saturn continue in close conjunction, we can expect ongoing dissolution of old and expiring world structures, as well as personal ones. None of this is easy for anyone because while structures and frameworks falter or fail, we must embrace the sacred nature of the new emergence, and position ourselves, at an individual level, to catch the wind of the new cycle so it can carry us forward; we must embrace the opportunity of change, while honouring endings still occurring in our lives and the world at large.
This March Equinox is highly energised with a Grand Cardinal Square, a Yod, several oppositions and 2 harmonising grand minor trines, so lets take a deeper look at the archetypal themes on offer over the next 3 months…

New visions, new ways, new adventures
The equinox Sun makes a close conjunction to Neptune, while in close square to Varda in Capricorn. The next 3 months is a powerful period of “crisis in action” when the world births powerful new Aquarian teachings that will in time alter human evolution. Varda represents very high frequency wisdom transmissions, which amplify through the equinox Sun, and infuse the Saturn-Neptune conjunction.
While the old reality with its lower frequency experience clashes over beliefs and religious dogma, many at the individual level will be simultaneously moving to a higher octave altogether. The new way is unencumbered by patriarchal distortions, richly immersed in the revival of the true feminine, and prioritises soul purpose over egocentric culture-dependent purpose.

Atlantis remembered and the birth of the Goddess Way
Makemake, the archetype holding memory and karma connected in particular to Atlantis, has been in a long term activation-opposition with Salacia - the benevolent goddess of the sea. This equinox, this opposition lines up to make a Grand Cardinal Cross with Quaoar & Pholus, and Jupiter in Cancer as the anchor: the planet grounding this powerful and challenging opportunity into our personal reality.
Grand cardinal crosses are essentially 2 oppositions and 4 square aspects, which produces a complex and stimulating energetic dynamic that initiates movement and change as a way to resolve itself.
Salacia in Aries is inviting us to explore the abundance-potential in all new journeys, adventures and voyages of self-discovery. She reminds us that there is a lot to gain by breaking from the past and daring to act differently in the world. Salacia activates Makemake - the memory holder of our ancient past - generating a lot of new innovative thinking linked directly to reclaimed memory codes from golden age cultures like Atlantis, and this in turn has generated a lot of momentum toward understanding our past, as well as new vibrational technologies. The challenge has been, and continues to be, how we take information from the past e.g. pyramid knowledge, and apply it in new ways as we move into the future. If this seems a little fringe, it’s worth considering just how much innovation is occurring outside the purview of mainstream reporting.
Quaoar and Pholus is another long term conjunction-dynamic radically altering global society through vibrational changes permeating the planetary energy system. This is a planetary awakening symbol, penetrating space-time reality, deep into the karmic crystallised patterns linked specifically to patriarchal distortion, characterised by top down rivalrous systems of power, rulership, and exploitation.
An opposition to Jupiter in Cancer activates the birth of new belief systems supporting the return of the true feminine principle (an appreciation of the feminine energy flow outside of patriarchal distortion).
Jupiter as the anchor point of the Grand Square becomes the release valve for this energy dynamic, driving a crisis in consciousness if our beliefs are too limited, where we are forced out of our comfort zone in order to revitalise personal meaning, or a crisis in action, where we might just have to put new emergent beliefs into action in some way. This would most likely be in the form of committing to a path of trust in non-force even though it scares us.
On a personal level this issue becomes very tangible with Mars in Pisces trine to Jupiter in Cancer, especially for those of us currently entering a higher octave of spiritual awareness, because goddess wisdom fuels a need to surrender to the natural flow of energy in our lives; this is a time to overcome any need to control or push toward perceived goals. Something much bigger than us is occurring, and we are learning to synchronise with the new emergent rhythm.
New goals, innovations and enterprises
Saturn, now in Aries, speaks to the birth of new endeavours that have an element of commitment to them. Its been a long haul for some of us; the required waiting as old energy-flows completed, but now the cycle is turning and we are finally entering a period of engaging new goals and aspirations. Saturn will give us more tenacity but we must make sure that whatever new enterprises we might consider starting, must be in alignment, otherwise we will lack the needed commitment. The next two years will be advantageous to anyone wanting to break long standing habits because Saturn in Aries puts energy in starting new projects and initiatives that have nothing to do with the past - don’t be surprised if you start things, change direction, start more things and change direction again, as this is a trial and error period as we fine tune new developmental pathways.
Saturn is in close conjunction to luminous Manwë, bringing to any new endeavours a clear light and clarity of vision. We can expect many to be moved toward new innovations and discovery journeys that have an elevated humanitarian or spiritual vision at their core.
In collective terms this is good news, because this is a time when powerful new creative ventures aligned with the higher power are being conceptualised and begun.
The re-emergence of soul purpose
Sedna conjunct Uranus the awakener is part of a Grand Minor Trine with Pluto and the Neptune-Sun conjunction, adding a potency to this equinox energy wave. Sedna is also at the apex of a Yod aspect with Varda sextile Haumea. Sedna was discovered back in 2003, and now she is activating at a new level of expression as Uranus allows us to access more of her frequency and wisdom. Pluto is also in a harmonious trine, adding evolutionary momentum to the Sedna principle.
So what is Sedna all about?
In a nut-shell the Sedna story is about the loss of the soul path and its ultimate redemption through surrender. The False Matrix overlay that expresses as patriarchal distortion; an over reliance on the masculine principle and a subsequent loss of connection, permeates all our modern cultures, which condition us to conform to an idea of who we should be at the expense of the soul agreement each of us agreed to follow as our unique path of development and service.
What would our world look like if every child were allowed to find themselves on their own terms without judgements and limitations?
What would life be like if we were truly flowing with our reason to be and our joy of life?
The Yod places this question at the heart of personal process. Varda activates deep alchemical change, and Haumea urges us to shed the limiting skins of social expectation and identity, to rebirth in a more natural and holistic way. This collaboration of energy puts an internal pressure to bring more of our soul contract into the light; Uranus acts as a courier for new information about our deepest most sacred calling.
All of this energy is then focused toward the Sun-Neptune conjunction, and if we consider the significance of the March equinox as the beginning of the astrological year, this theme of soul-awakening will be developed over the next year infusing many with a renewed spiritual sense of meaning and purpose connected to the life goals and commitments we are initiating over the next 2 years.
What will this look like?
For some of us this will be a major turning point in the road; a clear pivotal time of new directions.
For others it will probably be more subtle; a gradual emergence of the soul as a reflection of the inner-self, and thus an invitation to grow and develop in a new way; one that leads to more clarity and self-knowledge over time.
A rising new feminine
Chiron has now moved into new phase conjunction to Eris in Aries. These two have been in close conjunction for some time now highlighting collective healing of the wounded feminine, and loss of connection, especially through war and conflict. This shift to the new phase marks a culmination of a profound healing process, and an activation of new dimensions of the feminine principle.
Eris at the moment functions primarily as a distortion mirror showing us where we have left personal growth processes incomplete. A sextile to Chariklo in Aquarius and Hygeia in Gemini highlights alchemical integration and healing as a way we move into greater personal coherence.
We all know the world is greatly challenged by chaotic unstable energy as the lower frequency geometries are collectively resolved and completed; polarisation, projection, fear, and anger are prevalent and yet the end game isn’t breakdown it is coherence.
Coherence builds when we attend diligently to our inner reality; when we attend to feelings and emotions, review and recap past experiences, and when we agree to process and move to completion in our own lives. Each time we do this with just one active life issue, we become stronger and more coherent. The more coherent we become the more we become coherence anchors in the world.
Finally…
There are a fair few oppositions in the equinox chart, and oppositions tend to generate opportunities for greater objective awareness often through some kind of contrast and comparison experience.
With Mercury in an exact conjunction to the lunar North Node in Pisces, and Mars in a close conjunction as well, we can expect new information to activate an evolving understanding of higher meaning and purpose. The North Node in pisces shows us what we most need to reach for in order to optimise life flow - and this means that by embracing the transcendent; the spiritual; the universal, we are able to make better sense of reality and our reason for being.
The next few months will offer us opportunities to think more universally, and to trust in inner guidance to align our actions with the natural energy flow in our lives.
