A note on forecasting:

blue flame

The aim of forecasting isn’t simply to try and predict what is going to happen; the reader is not meant to be a passive receiver of a "fixed fate", in fact quite the opposite. The nature and purpose of forecasting is to build a living relationship with the archetypal energies in play: as we read, awareness is activated on deep levels that support the way we relate to a changing and dynamic collective field.

A connection is initiated with the living field matrix much like a generous handshake, salutation or greeting. In a sense it is a sacred tending of the spiritual fire; a way we can positively engage the imminence of the field, so that we can prepare and adjust to shifts in the energy around us. Like the strumming of chords on a guitar, we don’t have to remember everything precisely, but instead allow ourselves to be moved and attuned. In this way we already begin to respond even without really knowing. In some instances key themes may sing to us in ways that become more meaningful as the weeks pass and life events unfold.

Preamble:

The new moon can be thought of as a window in time when the Higher-Self initiates specific lessons or personal growth intentions for the coming month, and we can use the lunar cycle as a way of decoding evolutionary forces at a more granular level than the solar cycle or the transits of the slower moving planets.

For the spiritually minded person, the new moon is a time to receive the seed impulses for one’s personal evolution, and specifically those impulses toward bringing something new into conscious awareness. Each moon cycle fits into a larger cycle, which begins at the Aries new moon, and if you seriously want to track the unfolding pattern of higher-self guidance, it is a really good idea to record a log or journal of key messages and impressions received in the few hours before and after the new moon, roughly 4-5 hours on either side. During this window of time, make space to be more meditative and pay attention to your thoughts, inspirations, psychic messages and so on, as these will tend to correspond to the archetype the new moon is birthing in at the time, and correlate to the growth themes we are meant to work with during the month.

At some point in time (after a few months) you can look through your log and begin to see a key pattern unfolding, which can stimulate further insight in terms of life purpose.

To begin with…

The lunar cycle renewed through Aries last month, and we may have felt new energy for new initiatives building and a desire to begin new things on whatever level is most relevant to us as individuals. Now the energy moves inward for the month as we take the impressions of the last month and begin to consolidate and ground the new energy we are meant to carry forward for the next year. Everything related to the lunar cycle reflects a very personal experience of unfoldment at quite a granular level - the energy shifts and breathes at monthly intervals.

Taurus energy tends to quieten down the more activating energy of Aries - we will probably experience going deeper somehow into more silence; initial activity slows, or stops even, as we integrate and grow roots for the new incoming energy. This can often feel like a slowing down, and inner messages can feel muted  - its a month of patience and trust as we allow the energy to gestate.

New spiritual impulses may well have arrived but now we need to make personal sense of them; anchor them, stabilise them, and come to terms with them. If we fail to stabilise, then the new energy might well fizzle out and collapse.

We shouldn’t feel afraid or disconcerted about gravity pulling us more inward, and to rest if necessary, as this is what is most needed - this is a yin month where stillness, quiet, and grounding is essential if we want to progress in an optimal way.

This is a month to review core essential needs, and to dwell on what we currently most value and what we are most willing to work for.

  • Where do the passions of the heart most want to commit?

Because this is where we can most put sustained effort for enduring results later on.

The chart cast of the Taurus New Moon is quite energised with a Grand Cardinal Square, a T-Square a fair few oppositions and trines, so lets take a deeper look at the emergent archetypal themes for this month…

The re-activation of the feminine way is emphasised

All the primary asteroid goddesses are in close aspects this month:

Ceres, the grain goddess associated with the mother, the cycles of the seasons, and abundance, is fused, by exact conjunction, to the New Moon energy making an appreciation of the cyclical nature of life a key part of this month’s reflections.

  • Where are you in your current cycle?

  • Are you moving to completion, or are you expanding into something new?

  • Are you full of visions and possibilities, or are you immersed in a pregnant stillness?

Vesta the goddess of the hearth is in close conjunction with Neptune, and this makes the cultivation of coherence, through innovative spiritual practices and engagement, a vital part of this month’s equation; through coherence we are able to hold the new seed impulses calling us to awaken in a new way on a new level.

Hebe, urns, stars, water, Aquarius
Hebe is the original cupbearer

Juno is in a new phase conjunction with Pluto, birthing the new feminine evolutionary cycle through Aquarius, and Aquarius is a richly feminine archetype at its heart; take away the patriarchal overlay and the original cupbearer was Hebe the goddess of youth and vital optimal life-expression; Juno’s renewal through this sign will activate some of the hidden feminine aspects of Aquarius, calling those already awakening to harmonise with the feminine principle in new ways.

Pallas is fused by exact conjunction with the luminous Manwë, and this is a powerful seed moment anchoring through the new moon wave, where wisdom, and the inner guide and mapmaker, benefits from light infusions from higher planes; this could bring in new life maps as the world frequency continues to elevate.

Hygeia, the goddess of holistic healing and wellness, is part of a Grand Cardinal Square featuring Saturn: while Saturn in Aries asks us to make new tracks, and initiate in novel directions with a degree of gut instinctive trust, Hygeia in Cancer is requiring us to integrate the feminine way in the world around us; we can’t default to control and assertion to get where we want to go, we must also harmonise the masculine impulse for change and adventure, with a rootedness in community, and emotional purpose. We may also be called to embrace more stillness and silence as a way to build stronger coherence through which to support the new emergent creative impulses; without coherence new initiatives can lose momentum or collapse altogether before they ever get off the ground.

The world is challenged to step forward
Planet Earth

A Grand Cardinal Square featuring Saturn, Hygeia, Makemake, Quaoar and Pholus presents a powerful collective push to move forward into a higher frequency expression.

Grand Squares are so powerful because all archetypes involved are under pressure to be acted on or manifested, and the cardinal nature of this aspect is especially inclined to move humanity forward one way or another.

Let’s break it down:

  • Quaoar and Pholus in exact conjunction in Capricorn at the 13th degree (12˚) speaks to a collective initiation period that calls us to transcend, and this high frequency energy aspect is literally shaking the lower frequency social and cultural structures apart. What was hidden from conscious view is more and more revealed; choices must now be made.

  • Makemake in Libra represents the return of natural law principles to our consciousness through the re-integration of humanity’s true story - as opposed to official history. Makemake holds the Atlantean karma, and his journey through Libra reflects a time when past karma related to ancient golden-age civilisations, especially Atlantis and Mu, and their place within the evolutionary story of humanity, is brought to resolution. I think as Manwë steadily moves into opposition to Makemake in the coming years, we will see more and more revelations of the past and radical new understandings emerge.

  • Saturn, having recently conjoined with Neptune and initiating an epochal change, now carries the new geometry that can reshape the world, and Saturn is in exact opposition to Makemake emphasising both the retrieval of part civilisational knowledge as well as a time of karmic challenge and balancing.

  • Hygeia in Cancer is in exact square to both Saturn and Makemake, and she makes this Grand Square the most personal because we are all immersed in this grand energetic soup, and the only way to deal well with whatever is being initiated globally, is to focus consciously on emotional integration, holistic practices that keep us flowing with the energy, and actively rooted in the balancing nature of the feminine principle. This means to look after ourselves as we need to; to pay attention to self care and care of others; to draw strength from community if we can; and to nurture coherence as we collectively move into new times.

Collective shadows arising through belief systems and child sex violations

figures, dark, light, cloud

Typhon now in Sagittarius initiates a time of collective upheavals with regard to belief systems, and in particular those that are mired in regressive dogma and abuse. Typhon is an archetype of chaos and breakdown, and is now bearing down on belief systems to test their integrity - whichever beliefs, both collective and personal, can’t hold up to the pressure will fall by the wayside, as Typhon’s gift is a chaos through force that tears down the false and stagnant.

Typhon is in close opposition to Uranus and Sedna in Gemini, so we can expect more powerful and shocking revelations in the coming months, and the beginnings of justice for victims of child sex abuse building more momentum in the world.

Tests in our personal belief structures could become taxing if those structures are dissonant, stagnant, regressive or distorted. Shocks may occur that ultimately liberate us in ways that put us in touch with a more true and resonant self expression. Sometimes the things we believe hold us back from who we are meant to be.

Uranus in Gemini - Collective rewiring of the mind
head, brain, dendrites, colours

Uranus is now fully committed to Gemini for the next 7 years bringing the powerful catalysing influence of Uranus into the part of the collective psyche related to thought, communication, ideas and science. We are entering a time of rapid mental acceleration where personal understanding can move in leaps and bounds or become mired in degrees of overwhelm that can leave some burned out, fragmented and destabilised.

On a wider arc, this transit will lead to the destruction of white collar work as A.I. becomes more efficient, and A.I. as a tool is literally going to speed up idea proliferation e.g. books co-authored with A.I. produced in less than half the time.

As we know this can work in productive or detrimental ways - A.I. is both a relationship and a tool, and how we each approach this determines the quality of outcome. If we meet A.I. from a higher frequency then we can enjoy the liberating nature of it and it may even boost cognitive and intuitive capacity: if we engage A.I. from fear and emptiness, outcomes will undermine overall human wellbeing; those that do this may become addicted to A.I. sense-making (controlled perception) and even incapacitated by it.

The quickened expression of Gemini creates a fracturing of the mental domain, and we are moving away from specialist ‘expert’ careers to adaptive and generalised capacities. The new environment favours those who can bridge different worlds; those who can weave art with geometry, and intuition with systems thinking; the specialist now gets automated, while those most flexible and adaptive become more amplified.

We’ll also see a disparity between the human and the synthetic, something that is already happening with A.I. generated voices, faces, artwork, writing etc, but with no real depth or substance, versus what is innately human and authentic; generated by a soul who is touched with genuine pathos, empathy and wisdom. We are also going to see a polarity expressing as the futurist and the rejectionist; those that jump into new technology developments with questionable discernment versus those that reject the new synthetic world thrust upon them in favour of something other and more real. Most significantly this transit will offer us the opportunity to become more mentally sovereign or to become more ensnared within algorithmic perception and sense-making; those that think for themselves versus those that cannot without consulting A.I. and more broadly those that define reality from their news feeds and X chatter, both of which have nothing to do with what is real.

How to navigate this 7 year transit:

  • Pay attention to grounding practices because the hyper-electrical energy of Uranus in Gemini, while potentially profoundly liberating, can easily lead to mental fragmentation where potential insight becomes mental noise and chaos.

  • Protect your heart awareness because the amplification of the air element, while brilliant, can also be cold and detached, devoid of the human, consumed by algorithms and number data. The heart chakra is the natural counter balance to this collective mental acceleration.

  • Develop strong dependable coherence-building practices: walk in nature, swim in natural water, bathe responsibly in the sunshine, meditate, work with crystals that ground and anchor like hematite, shungite, and garnet, engage essential oils that calm and sooth like chamomile, palmarosa, sandalwood, ylang ylang and cedarwood.

  • Manage blue light exposure by limiting exposure, and by balancing with red light therapy

  • Cultivate good sleep practices: slow down a few hours before bed, get to bed by 10pm if you can, use sleep supports like L-theanine, Montmorency cherry extract, or herbs like St john’s wort, Passilfora, Ashwagandha, or Valerian.

  • Make downtime an intrinsic part your life-routine; time when you are not engaging technology or chemical stimulants like coffee. Put your bare feet on the open soil more often. Engage meaningful social connection.

Stabilisation is a key opportunity this month
woman, roots, landscape, trees, moon

Collective evolution is accelerating, which means we are moving into rapid expansion and this is overall a good thing so long as we can stabilise the energy and move safely with the times through coherence.

Mercury in Taurus is close to the New Moon, while also very close to Uranus now in Gemini. When Mercury and Uranus get together we can get a surge of expanded understanding and information input. Rapid expansion of awareness can momentarily destabilise the energy field and if we have enough coherence the field will naturally re-stabilise in time, but if we are not paying attention to coherence cultivation, we can feel overwhelmed and fragmented until we slow down and integrate.

Chariklo opposing Praamzius makes a close T-square aspect with the New Moon, and this puts a degree of pressure to focus on stabilisation; when we are stable we are more than likely going to flow well with our personal cycle of unfolding, without resisting or forcing things to happen before they are ready to happen. Resisting or forcing leads to things not working out the way we want or intend.

Both Chariklo and Praamzius are coherence archetypes, one yin and one yang:

  • Chariklo teaches us how to create and maintain coherent environments and the wisdom to leave incoherent distorted fields as soon as possible. Her role in Aquarius is to guide us to use plants, rocks and crystals as field enhancers to stabilise personal spaces like homes and healing rooms.

  • Praamzius teaches us about correct alignment with both the soul and the oversoul; he teaches us to get connected to our deepest soul roots and to tap into the profound coherence that dwells in the inner silence and stillness. His role in Leo guides us through the heart to become soulcentric individuals, and through heart-mind coherence, to become deeply purposeful in life.

Finally…

meditator, flames, water

Chiron and Mars are in an almost perfect conjunction (just one arc-minute difference), this makes this month a time of quiet internal initiation; we could receive clear understanding about new spiritual journeys we must undertake (Mercury in exact semi-sextile). I lean toward quiet initiations primarily because the new moon energy is rooting in Taurus, which is an internal yin sign.

More than likely any initiatory inner or outer events will be a result of building coherence momentum - if you haven’t been cultivating coherence in your field, then this transit may not affect you.

We may also see collective healing initiations for the masculine principle. We may see masculine wound karma erupting into the open and a collective need to stabilise this energy.

For those on an active spiritual path, this month may mark an initiatory period rooted in stillness and coherence; moving to a new level of the sacred warrior journey.
