A note on forecasting:

The aim of forecasting isn’t simply to try and predict what is going to happen; the reader is not meant to be a passive receiver of a "fixed fate", in fact quite the opposite. The nature and purpose of forecasting is to build a living relationship with the archetypal energies in play: as we read, awareness is activated on deep levels that support the way we relate to a changing and dynamic collective field.

A connection is initiated with the living field matrix much like a generous handshake, salutation or greeting. In a sense it is a sacred tending of the spiritual fire; a way we can positively engage the imminence of the field, so that we can prepare and adjust to shifts in the energy around us. Like the strumming of chords on a guitar, we don’t have to remember everything precisely, but instead allow ourselves to be moved and attuned. In this way we already begin to respond even without really knowing. In some instances key themes may sing to us in ways that become more meaningful as the weeks pass and life events unfold.

Preamble:

The new moon can be thought of as a window in time when the Higher-Self initiates specific lessons or personal growth intentions for the coming month, and we can use the lunar cycle as a way of decoding evolutionary forces at a more granular level than the solar cycle or the transits of the slower moving planets.

For the spiritually minded person, the new moon is a time to receive the seed impulses for one’s personal evolution, and specifically those impulses toward bringing something new into conscious awareness. Each moon cycle fits into a larger cycle, which begins at the Aries new moon, and if you seriously want to track the unfolding pattern of higher-self guidance, it is a really good idea to record a log or journal of key messages and impressions received in the few hours before and after the new moon, roughly 4-5 hours on either side. During this window of time, make space to be more meditative and pay attention to your thoughts, inspirations, psychic messages and so on, as these will tend to correspond to the archetype the new moon is birthing in at the time, and correlate to the growth themes we are meant to work with during the month.

At some point in time (after a few months) you can look through your log and begin to see a key pattern unfolding, which can stimulate further insight in terms of life purpose.

To begin with...

This years Sagittarius New Moon occurs just 37 hours before the December Solstice.

This convergence of liminal energetic windows (both the new moon and the solstices mark moments when cosmic energy imprints the planetary field in a stronger way) now generates a time period when cosmic energy patterns have an even stronger influence on the world - In effect we are in a time period of about a year when there is heightened cosmic influence on human evolution pulsing through the solstices and equinoxes.

The last Scorpio lunation offered some intense opportunities for shadow-work, deep healing and transformation at both the personal and collective level; this may have been easy or challenging (for me a bit of both). Whatever growth-lessons and revelations took place last month, must now be integrated into an evolving tapestry of meaning as we move forward. Sagittarius energy now activates a more intuitive flow, and it generally lightens the energy after the depth and intensity of Scorpio.

This is particularly relevant this year due to the Scorpio process running far into December, and only now culminating just days before the Solstice, Christmas and Yule festivities. This could play out in a number of ways, but there’s a good chance that once the heaviness and internalisation of the Scorpio energy subsides, we may feel ripe and ready for a break, and more joviality and celebration, as we approach years end. Just watch out for a temptation toward excess as a way to compensate for the deeper inner work last month; Jupiter energy when unchecked can drink too much, eat too much and indulge too much in everything and anything!

This new moon orientates us toward expansion, optimism and greater life meaning - Higher-Self impulses can move us toward a desire to learn and understand; to attain an overview of a bigger-picture perspective. If we are on a self developmental or spiritual path, we may at times wonder what all the inner work is for, and if necessary we may want to take a well needed respite to allow for a wider understanding to emerge.

Light infusions generate further dissolutions of old realities

The New Moon is in close conjunction with illuminating Varda, in exact inconjunct to Uranus the awakener, and square to Neptune and Saturn in Pisces. The New Moon liminal window is very receptive to high frequency light coming from the Galactic Logos via Varda. This potent infusion is channeled toward Neptune, Saturn, Eris, Praamzius and Venus, which means these archetypes are both activated and quickened toward ascension.

Ascension might sound like a fancy new-age word, but it simply means the process of elevating human consciousness to the frequency of love, compassion and peace. It represents a redefinition of what it means to be human in the game of life. In essence we are leaving an old story behind and leaping to a new one, and as many of us know, our current world picture can be simplified to the struggle between two different paradigms, with the old system striving very hard to stay relevant and in control.

This month we are going to receive a powerful boost in ways that will quicken the release and dissolution of old realities. On the personal level this can be experienced as palpable shifts in the way we see things that radically alter the way we engage reality. The truth is that humanity currently experiences multiple realities on the same planet, which is part of the cause of the chaos and stress.

Light infusions of this kind are prone to activating Higher-Self impulses to question in order to learn and expand ones personal understanding of the universe and what it means to be human at this time. We are meant to let go of low frequency structures of all kinds, whether they be ideas, values, memories, old grudges, attachments, addictions, illusions, familiar routines, agreements, contracts and so on.

We are heading toward a grand threshold symbolised by Neptune’s imminent exact conjunction to Saturn at 0˚ Aries in Feb 2026, and this lunation will be energising the culmination of life lessons through release processes, which dovetail with the Sep Virgo Solar Eclipse energies that call us to heal and purify the past as we prepare for new growth opportunities in the near future. These same light infusions, pulsing through this New Moon, are simultaneously fuelling powerful activations of the ‘Light Warrior’ path through the healing of the rejected feminine principle; through the awakening of the feminine within, we finally remember who we are!

The Grand Fire Trine featuring Chiron, Eris, Praamzius, Venus and the New Moon/Varda conjunction represents powerful light activations mediated by the planetary and solar logoi.

Here we see the possibility of Eris (feminine power) reuniting with Venus (the heart-wisdom) in a grounded and embodied way.

The Venus opportunity

Venus is in a close conjunction to the Sagittarius New Moon, while opposing Uranus, trine to Eris and Chiron, square to Saturn and inconjunct to Jupiter; Venus is a central player in this months growth impulse, and this is going to enhance personal internal shifts as we approach the new year.

The Sagittarius impulse toward meaning through philosophical frameworks that help us align with natural law principles is central to this month’s growth opportunity. There will be an attraction to some internal reshuffling of beliefs and priorities stimulated by the dissolution of obsolete life structures that then promotes a deeper questioning of what it all means.

We are being asked to really dwell on what we value and believe as individuals outside the influence of peer groups and society as a whole:

What flame of truth do we truly hold dear deep down inside?

Are we ready and willing to live by this independent truth, knowing that it will evolve over time?

Are we strong enough to stand up for our personal truth if necessary?

Are we strong enough to break free from socially conditioned ideas that no longer resonate or have power over us and walk a new path?

The Venus-Jupiter inconjunct really speaks to an internal tempering process as we review ancestral patterns of belief and decide whether they are resonating or not. How does intuitive and emotional information this month move us to alter what we believe about ourselves and our value in the world?

Beliefs define the nature of our manifest world

Typhon begins to ingress into Sagittarius after a stint in Scorpio since 2017, marking a shift in the way shadow forces are going to test us. Typhon will retrograde back into Scorpio during 2026, so this is just a taster of the next cycle, but Typhon features in a Yod aspect with Pluto and Hygeia at the apex, highlighting how the issue of beliefs will be energised.

Beliefs can be defined as thoughts we think repeatedly that influence how we engage reality; they are often hidden from us in the subconscious mind. Beliefs are unavoidable; we need them as psychic ‘software’ to make sense of and define our personal world. As we evolve however, our beliefs must evolve with us, and periodically we need to ditch limiting beliefs or toxic ones in order to heal, grow and move into new life experience potential.

The Yod heralds the arena of our collective beliefs as the next place of focus until 2041. This makes sense given that currently the world is divided over beliefs largely because many are unconscious of them and conflate belief with fact. While the New Moon forms part of a stellium in Sagittarius, Typhon sextile to Pluto might cause some shakeups and disruptions, causing us to question even more what we believe and why we believe what we believe. This dynamic is going to facilitate more personal liberation, and this will require of us to heal and integrate through the emotional body. For some, this could be a powerful moment when we realise just how limiting and damaging some of our deep seated belief programs are. If this happens for you, just remember to be gentle on yourself and try and avoid negative self judgement tactics and look after your emotional body instead.

A key issue is reflected by Mercury in Sagittarius square to the lunar nodes in Virgo and Pisces. Mercury in Sagittarius might be energising the need to communicate our personal philosophical viewpoint, and this could be a positive or negative thing depending on who we are and what we are internally trying to figure out.

Do we choose to verify what we believe by referencing the real world around us before we speak ?

Do we rely on seductive ideologies to define us and then drive us to proselytise without even bothering to verify if those beliefs are realistic or not?

Nodal squares typically represent unfinished lessons, and while the pursuit of truth is energised this month, we have a collective responsibility to discern what is real from what is fantasy. There has been a lot of ideological conflict in recent years, and this has been changing of late since Pluto entered Aquarius, and we’ve been seeing more active push back against dogma in many areas. Mercury squaring the nodes highlights that while we are all moved to understand truth and reach a broader life perspective, we are also challenged to look harder at what we believe, and to test our ideas more vigorously through critical thinking.

Mercury features in an exact high frequency Grand Fire Trine with Salacia and Varuna, offering some pretty amazing insight potential if we are at the right frequency and working well with the law of balances. This month could gift us with some clear new emergent personal truth that can bring positive change to our lives.

Finally…

This New Moon offers us a key opportunity to become more aligned with natural law principles as we seek greater truth in our personal lives. There is energy to penetrate personal illusions and reach greater clarity in preparation for January, when most of us tend to review life goals for the coming year ahead.

There is no escaping the high frequency energy activations that call us to awaken to ourselves in unique ways, and this lunation we may well be dwelling on what is true for us in this now moment, and really immersing deeper into the heart of that truth as a lodestone for life navigation in the future.

It matters what we believe because belief shapes personal and collective reality, and as we ride the waves of collective ascension, we can reasonably expect the issue of truth to be central and changeable as we become more aligned with the Higher-Power and natural law principles.
