A note on forecasting:

The aim of forecasting isn’t simply to try and predict what is going to happen; the reader is not meant to be a passive receiver of a "fixed fate", in fact quite the opposite. The nature and purpose of forecasting is to build a living relationship with the archetypal energies in play: as we read, awareness is activated on deep levels that support the way we relate to a changing and dynamic collective field.

A connection is initiated with the living field matrix much like a generous handshake, salutation or greeting. In a sense it is a sacred tending of the spiritual fire; a way we can positively engage the imminence of the field, so that we can prepare and adjust to shifts in the energy around us. Like the strumming of chords on a guitar, we don’t have to remember everything precisely, but instead allow ourselves to be moved and attuned. In this way we already begin to respond even without really knowing. In some instances key themes may sing to us in ways that become more meaningful as the weeks pass and life events unfold.

Preamble:

The new moon can be thought of as a window in time when the Higher-Self initiates specific lessons or personal growth intentions for the coming month, and we can use the lunar cycle as a way of decoding evolutionary forces at a more granular level than the solar cycle or the transits of the slower moving planets.

For the spiritually minded person, the new moon is a time to receive the seed impulses for one’s personal evolution, and specifically those impulses toward bringing something new into conscious awareness. Each moon cycle fits into a larger cycle, which begins at the Aries new moon, and if you seriously want to track the unfolding pattern of higher-self guidance, it is a really good idea to record a log or journal of key messages and impressions received in the few hours before and after the new moon, roughly 4-5 hours on either side. During this window of time, make space to be more meditative and pay attention to your thoughts, inspirations, psychic messages and so on, as these will tend to correspond to the archetype the new moon is birthing in at the time, and correlate to the growth themes we are meant to work with during the month.

At some point in time (after a few months) you can look through your log and begin to see a key pattern unfolding, which can stimulate further insight in terms of life purpose.

To begin with…

After a month working with the Virgo themes of internal self analysis, self improvement, healing, optimisation, and refinement through work and service, the energy now moves outward again through the social sign of Libra. Adjustments may have been made, perhaps we understand something about ourselves that has subtly altered our course, or we’ve had an internal sort out [or even an external house clean] that leaves us ready for more social engagement and communication.

The impulse is to bring whatever we have been thinking-through, or perfecting on the inside or through daily practices, outward to be shared in some way. Perhaps we need feedback on something, or need to be mirrored to feel we exist… and this month the energy is drawing us out to test drive our creations in some way, either with someone we trust, or with the world in general.

The core growth motivation of Libra is toward balance, and some of us less developed in this area may wobble alarmingly from side to side like a child on a new bike. So while the motivation is toward balance, more often we tend to see more extremes playing out.

All in all the chart cast for the Libra New Moon affords us a bit of respite with a less complex chart dynamic, and quite a few supportive and harmonised trine aspects. So lets take a closer look at the archetypal themes on offer this month…

New paradigms versus the status quo
man, city, zipper, cosmos

A key feature of the current time is an ongoing square between a Quaoar-Pholus conjunction in Capricorn and a Saturn-Salacia conjunction in Aries. In essence the old world systems are being shaken up by high frequency light transmissions permeating the planetary field, and this has become ever more apparent in recent years as many established systems now fail. This has been quickened further by Pluto’s ingress into Aquarius a few years back, and a subsequent revealing of  just how corrupt, misguided or inept our ruling elite classes are. Something similar is happening on a personal level, where more and more, the old ways just simply don’t work or don’t satisfy the way they used to.

Saturn and Salacia in Aries, now joined by Pallas, reflect the new evolutionary pathways opening up for us personally and collectively; if we are ready, coherent, and stable enough to anchor in the new light geometry, then entirely new personal realities can be birthed through us. The square mirrors an inherent tension; a need to bring old themes to completion and release, where we might struggle to let go of old reality, while also cultivating an open courageous trust to give new ideas and inspirations a chance.

Anchoring in new light geometry isn’t easy because it asks us to break from the past and commit to a path unknown; visions may guide us, but we will feel uncertain and insecure at times.

Letting go of old structures is also not easy, because what we already know, even if it doesn’t work as well anymore, is familiar and feels safe.

This is our collective world picture at the moment; a world in chaos as systems fail and fall apart, like an implosion vortex collapsing an old lower frequency reality, while new radical possibilities emerge on the horizon, fraught with dangerous uncertainty, like the current A.I. revolution or the lesser discussed gene sequencing technology that aims to create cats with fluorescent fur! Some of us will be ready to cooperate with the call to new reality potentials at a higher frequency, and some of us will be resistant and want to hold on to existing structures especially if they afford us power, privilege or wealth. This in itself is part of the chaos amplification in the collective field because resistance generates distortion.

Pallas now in exact conjunction with Salacia picks up the new light geometry to be carried forward via the inner voice of wisdom and guidance. Pallas, infused with the new geometry, will soon be able to birth new evolutionary road maps for us as we pioneer into new life territory. This conjunction indicates that the inner-feminine will be the function that helps us bring the new light geometry into form. It’s early days yet, this is a seeding event, like Pallas picking up high frequency email, but it does herald future life clarity in the months ahead.

A challenge period when resistance to change arises in the mix
rock, river

Saturn in Aries speaks to a time when new structures and systems can emerge, but for this to happen we must, by necessity, break from the past; we have to move on from old systems and ways of doing and being.

There is an inherent struggle with this archetypal pattern: Saturn represents the known; the existing frameworks we use to engage space-time reality, while Aries is an energy that is impulsive, spontaneous, and geared toward new experiences, and while Saturn is in Aries until April 2028, we are all moved to revitalise our life structures on all levels. This means breaking old habits in favour of new life patterns; it means trailblazing rather than repeating old formulas; it means embracing new internal structures in ways that change the way we live.

But this isn’t an ordinary transit for Saturn in Aries, because not long ago Saturn and Neptune were conjunct at 0˚ Aries, and that was such a rare event it marked a new role for Saturn linked to the anchoring of higher octave geometry. Now that Saturn and Salacia are also conjunct, the possibility of higher light geometry access is emphasised; we are not just breaking from the past to reconfigure reality much as before, we are now able to choose higher frequency potentialities, which in time will alter the way the world evolves.

Tied into the configuration is a Mars-Venus square. They are in an exact fixed square: Venus in Scorpio and Mars in Leo, and this generates a dynamic inner and outer tension at the personal level in relation to building momentum within, in order to break from the past and do things in a new way. This is a resistance signature due to the square and the fixed nature, representing an internal struggle to accept change, and to let soul rather than ego be the life guide.

Venus is also at the apex of a Yod, with Saturn and Uranus in sextile bearing down on Venus, adding evolutionary pressure to let go. Venus in Scorpio represents an internal need to control or a capacity to let go and transform. If we choose to resist the evolution we may find ourselves feeling blocked in some way until we make the internal adjustment and yield. Resistance is a reflection of insecurity; a fear to change and a fear of what change will bring, and yet if we surrender and trust we may find that the change brings new life and a better outcome in the longer term.

If resistance does arise in our life processes, we can expect to overcome it by the December Solstice; its a process not a target.

Shadow-work for soul initiates
male figure, basket, flower, hill, night, orcus

Orcus, the symbol for soul initiation, is once again in opposition to Nessus in Pisces re-energising a soul-awakening through the healing of pain, suffering and distortion. The Nessus process can reconnect us with a need to attend to inner distortions, especially pertaining to patriarchal patterns; the inner places where we carry unresolved violation trauma, or other patterns of distortion that ultimately need to be completed, integrated and released.

Orcus is in exact sextile to Ceres in Cancer, and Ceres is also trine to Nessus: Ceres becomes a key agent of resolution. Ceres is associated with motherhood, loss, grief, and abundance; she is the part of us that is capable of profound inner abundance, and yet she also carries the lessons of losing something cherished and having to live a full life anyway.

Her position in the dynamic implies that loss and grief is part of the pattern of suffering coming up to be resolved, and indicates that we are now able to overcome the distortion of loss and separation through forgiveness and renewal. Ceres is also in hard square aspect to the New Moon itself, highlighting this month as a gateway opportunity to heal internalised suffering linked to the subjugation of the feminine aspect of self. Ceres as an archetype of the mother is in the sign of the mother [Cancer] suggesting links to either mother issues or childhood conditioning.

For example this could express as past life trauma distortion related to witch persecution in the middle ages - a key symbol of patriarchal wounding of the feminine playing out as the persecution of women (or men practicing herbal medicine) by male clerics. Symbolically this historic period is an expression of masculine ideology and dogma overpowering feminine intuition and insight.

The role of Ceres in square to the New Moon initiation threshold, itself implies that while self-nurture is a vital aspect of personal healing this month, we might find this a challenging proposition; we may find it easier to put others first. It's a Libra cycle so try and move toward balance if this is a salient issue.

The healing of the masculine principle
man praying

Chiron at the last degree of Aries in a new phase conjunction with Eris in Aries makes a close trine to the South Node and Praamzius, as well as Hygeia in Virgo. Chiron’s journey has been activating healing and integrative processes connected with masculine energy. This has unfolded on many levels of course, most obviously through recent wars. When a planet reaches the last degree it culminates lessons; issues can rise more bolding into view to be seen and acknowledged. Eris has been a constant companion to Chiron in recent years, but the relationship has changed as Chiron overtook Eris and moved into a new phase relationship, representing a divergence from the old patterns. It is easier to heal and break free, and all along the process has been dogged by feminine retribution and rage; the Gaza conflict has highlighted in particular the victims of war, with many left liberal progressive souls [with a feminine alignment] jumping in blindly to stand in solidarity with those perceived victims as the media portrays. This has led to oddities like LGBTQ activists siding with Palestine despite their patriarchal culture that would condone throwing perceived sexual deviants like gays and lesbians off of buildings.

There is a lot working itself out I feel.

Chiron in trine to the South Node, and Hygeia in Virgo, reflects a capacity to heal through self realisation and sovereignty, but the real work continues to be the cultivation of objective awareness of key issues that trigger deep soul wounds; it is not sufficient to project blame onto the world without acknowledging our own personal pain and wounding as a core driver.

In any case we can expect to see some new awareness in relation to the wounded masculine to reach a level of clarity this month in relation to the past. For some this is a real opportunity to make a significant inner shift.

Finally…
human figure, cosmic path

For those who have cultivated ego alignment with soul, this month can allow us some forward movement, where personal projects can move more openly into the social sphere. A Mars trine with Saturn and Salacia implies an open flowing potential to act on the new higher octave light geometries we are able to receive now. The challenge will be in letting go and allowing the powerful archetypal forces of awakening to transform us from within.

This shouldn’t feel like an overly intense month, we are given some respite for integration and we should take advantage of this.
