To begin with…
While last month, influenced by Cancer, may have been a gestational or more internal time, with the Leo New Moon, the energy moves outward again toward more co-creative action. The previous Cancer lunation took us into more emotional waters, where needed emotional processing took place. Perhaps we were more family orientated or community minded as well, and if we have done sufficient emotional processing, we will now feel quite ready for more personal action and activity fuelled by an emotional readiness to move forward.

This Fire lunation harps back directly to the Aries lunation last March; in essence whatever new evolutionary desire impulses emerged, have now reached a new level of maturity and we can begin to creatively express the integrated essence of these new drives in a more developed way. Quite often this can simply feel like a more energised, optimistic motivation toward self-expression, play, fun, joy, and creativity.
Its helpful to remember that our lives provide the raw material for spiritual growth; we are spiritual beings choosing the limitations of incarnation in order to learn and grow through contrast and choice. It is easy sometimes to default to the idea that all our life lessons are these big evolutionary themes, but just as often the new evolutionary impulses that arise through Aries and Mars, can be minor orientations toward slightly different things. Novelty is food for the Soul.
It takes time and practice, through regular monthly self-reflection, to observe these more granular changes occurring from new moon to new moon. But to do so is enlightening!
This month’s chart features a Grand Square, a T-Square, a Grand Trine, and some key conjunctions, so lets take a deeper dive into the archetypal themes on offer this lunation…

Uranus now enters Gemini

This year enjoys several big energy shifts as most of the slower moving more ‘collective’ planets change signs. We have, this year, seen Saturn and Neptune ingress into Aries, Jupiter more recently moved into Cancer, and now Uranus moves into Gemini.
For the most part, this big cycle change has been from yin signs (Water and Earth) to yang signs (Fire and Air), and where before the evolutionary pace was deeper and slower, we are now experiencing an acceleration, much as if the foot has been lifted off the proverbial brake pedal.
Moreover, at present these collective archetypes are in relative harmony with each other; they are synergising to create focused change in the world. Pluto is sextile to Neptune and Saturn, while making a trine to Uranus, and Uranus is also in a sextile to Neptune and Saturn - this harmonisation is due to all archetypes being in the yang Fire and Air signs. Despite the ongoing challenge and disturbance in the world (Pluto in Aquarius pushing against the status quo), they are also generating more forward movement at the moment with amplified energy.
Uranus represents where and how liberation from the past and from obsolete patterns most occurs. It is a planet associated with awakening, because to awaken is to feel liberated from a relatively confined way of living and being. Uranus typically disrupts the old patterns, and this can be through revelations that leave us forever changed i.e. we cannot un-know what we know, and when externalised, Uranus can generate sudden changes, which can be surprising in a good way, or shocking and even traumatic - it all depends on how much personal resistance to change we exert in order to feel secure in our personal illusion of sameness.
While Uranus was in Taurus, some of the disruptions pertained to basic resources - the covid lockdowns for example caused supply issues. Wars over land ownership occurred. Energy supply has been tenuous, especially in Europe with prices sky rocketing. As a consequence, many of us have had our value systems disrupted, and we’ve been stimulated to become more objective of what is most important, and to begin to make a stand for what is important - this has reflected in seismic shifts in politics and the polls.
As Uranus makes his ingress into the Air sign of Gemini, the focus of break-though and disruption is now moving to the information arena. Air as a symbol for the mental function is also significantly more speedy than Earth, and Gemini’s mutable nature emphasises both speed and changeability.
In the outer world we can expect to see potential breakthroughs in idea sharing, scientific research, new technology, and A.I. And the A.I. evolution will no doubt speed up as well.
At the personal spiritual level, Uranus will begin to initiate a shake up in the nature of how we make sense of the world; the ideas we utilise; the way we communicate; the way we name and classify everything. In short we are being asked to learn to think in new ways, and this could be a heightened cycle for intuitive hits, downloading into our personal awareness, in ways that are mentally clear and understandable. Uranus in Gemini is ushering in a cycle of enhanced new understanding.
Of course this is great if we have an open flexible mind, but for those who cling to old ideas and old perspectives, Uranus may collectively stimulate more social fragmentisation and conflict, as like minded groups battle with other like minded groups, without realising the call is to resolve mental conflict by stepping out of the box and thinking in more open minded ways!
There is real potential for people to liberate from the influence of the media; to begin to see how so many of us construct our reality-view on the words offered to us by reporters, journalists, presenters, opinion writers, spin doctors, and even trolls, without thinking a great deal for ourselves.
This phenomenon makes a credible case for the reality of social engineering and propagandising agendas leading to more and more social division and shadow projection.
When we consider that Neptune in Aries may well energise powerful assertions of one reality view over another, in the form of idealogical or religious conflict or even warfare, Uranus in Gemini, in sextile, could add a lot more air to fan the flames. The nature of Gemini is the essence of duality and contrast, where everything seems opposed to everything else; an eternal argument that never resolves, but of course the spiritual task is to integrate apparently irreconcilable opposites. The Lovers card in Tarot is attributed to Gemini precisely because it symbolises the beginning of the alchemical journey toward wholeness.

I think it is interesting to see Jupiter now in Cancer, where we may see a doubling down on personal stories to create more separation from others, for example how easy it can be to build up walls around oneself through the firm belief in ones identity, heritage, ancestral story etc; one’s firm convictions about what it true, deferring any possibility of understanding another persons reality until we are ready to adapt and change. At the higher level though, Jupiter in Cancer could really help with the reconciliation of conflict if we break through to common emotional ground, where our shared suffering and humanity can bring people on all sides together.
With Uranus in a close conjunction to Sedna, this theme will both aggravate and bring healing to collective patterns of trauma, which right now is evidently plain to see through the long standing tribal divisions expressing in Israel and Gaza. I suspect that Uranus will act as a transmitter for new awareness on Sedna-in-Gemini issues, such as child sexual abuse, social fragmentation, and the loss of the feminine path of development [all rooted in unresolved collective trauma].
Sedna in Gemini has energised the unveiling of child sexual abuse for example when Elon Musk highlighted the grooming gangs in the Uk on X; an issue which had been buried by the media and was not being discussed or dealt with. This unveiling has since led to more social awareness about the intrusion of Sharia Law in Britain and its proclivity toward genital mutilation in young women as well as retribution killings of young girls who rebel against arranged marriages - all examples of Sedna's abuse story.
A crisis of belonging

A Grand Cardinal Square featuring Manwë, Quaoar, Pholus, Logos-Zoë, Makemake and Jupiter, adds a strong spiritual tension to this month’s energy, centred on Jupiter in Cancer. While the quantum energetic intensity of Quaoar and Pholus anchors high frequency energy into the world, causing a quickening of systems failure and breakdowns, an opposition to Jupiter in Cancer may well induce a spiritual crisis of belonging.
As our own personal structures fail, and aspects of everyday reality change, we may be feeling lost, alone and unrooted. Jupiter in Cancer is asking us to expand beyond limited notions of family and connection, as well as drawing us to more deeply and richly know who we are, as we transition into new ways of being and doing.
In spiritual terms, part of the process will be connected to the activation of memory pertaining to lost golden age civilisations in the past (Makemake), in ways that ignite the Christ-Sophia path of awakening through the “middle way”.
This Grand Square is built primarily from collective and superluminal archetypes, all anchoring through the personal planet of Jupiter, associated with intuition, learning and beliefs. For anyone operating from a frequency that is sensitive to these higher archetypal symbols, the cardinal nature of this square is going to stimulate breakthroughs in spiritual awareness into new levels of belonging and connection.
When we take the Eris and Chiron conjunction in Aries into consideration, the deep question of belonging will dovetail with the call to heal and integrate deep past life wounding connected to rejection by the group (family, community, tribe) when the assertion of our individualism was not accepted. This aspect may activate some deep seated unresolved anger, and if this happens then just know that feeling into the anger without judgement will help you reach a new level of understanding.
The Eris-Chiron conjunction is part of a Grand Fire Trine with Varda and Praamzius, so there are some beneficent allies helping us stay centred and coherent as we heal, integrate, and reclaim lost parts. With Chiron and Eris sextile to Venus and Hygeia in Gemini, there is scope to reintegrate fragmented parts of ourselves to become more whole through shadow-work.
Venus and Hygeia are also square to the lunar Nodes in Virgo-Pisces, highlighting this healing through the integration of lost aspects of ourselves, as one that will involve facing our personal reality as it is, while also being compassionate with ourselves, and others if necessary, to let the full integration occur.
The issue of belonging is further compounded by Pluto in direct opposition to the New Moon in Leo. Broadly speaking, there is a strong evolutionary push to liberate this month as we strive for clear purpose and co-creative sovereignty. Pluto is energising the 3rd degree of Aquarius, which relates to self-realisation through a vital refusal of the status quo in the world (and in ourselves), and if we notice awareness of this arising this month we might be asking ourselves more deeply where we belong if we no longer adhere to or align with consensus reality.
Pluto is in a close trine to Uranus and Sedna, so the crisis in belonging may also tie into a need to liberate from limiting ideas, stories and identities. I suspect this theme will play out for many at deep levels, but for those of us who consciously work toward more awareness, we may find ourselves reflecting on this and asking for more insight.
Saturn & Neptune kick off new cycles

Saturn is now completing his cycle around the zodiac, and this means in collective terms that as he anchors into Aries [the 1st sign], humanity is undergoing a change in the process of learning through adversity and limitation, which is the essence of the Saturn principle. As immutable eternal spiritual beings, we choose to incarnate here on Earth, at least in part, to participate in the illusion of the finite. Saturn rules the experience of space-time as a linear movement or unfolding, with a past, present and future. From the perspective of the eternal this is a profound limitation with invaluable evolutionary potential. We have just spent the last 2 years or so with Saturn in culmination in Pisces; this means that something that has been going on for the last 28 years has been coming to conclusion, and now we are collectively transitioning into a new set of collective and personal Saturnian lessons and growth challenges. This is nothing to be feared, since we are always somewhere on the Saturn cycle, but what is worth contemplating is the nature of these times corresponding to a new cycle of learning. We are in the seeding stage of big collective changes.
What makes this even more striking is the fact that Neptune will be in conjunction with Saturn for the next 12 months, and so this seeding of the new Saturn cycle will be deeply influenced by Neptune, giving us hints as to what is being seeded for the next 28-29 year cycle. Old patterns and structures will continue to dissolve away, and thoughts and visions of a new reality will probably include a more spiritually active life, or have an idealistic and altruistic quality.
Key personal lessons with Saturn in Aries involve the dichotomy between maturity and immaturity:
Will we act in reactive and impulsive ways without thought for the consequences, or will we learn to control some of our base instincts and desires, to become more self-mastered?
Will we cling to existing ways of being and doing, perhaps even idolising those past traditions and failing institutions? Or will we leap forward in courageous and innovative ways?
How this shows up in our personal lives will vary depending on how we manage ourselves, but we are meant to move forward away from the past into new ways of living our lives. The key will be in tempering the impulse to act, with maturity and wisdom, or else suffer the consequences.
For some of us this may be a time when limitations and obstructions to our normal way of doing things serve to direct us forward in a new direction if we allow. Neptune's influence on Saturn may express as Divinely inspired action, and the Leo New Moon is rooted in self-love as the means to live ones creative purpose, and via the square to Haumea in Scorpio, this creative purpose must align with the powerful evolutionary forces moving us toward a New Earth paradigm; our aspirations must contribute to positive world change.

Finally...
Albion in Taurus is activated by the karmic nodes this month, while trine to Orcus and Mars - here we see the role of the spiritual initiate [anyone on a personal spiritual path toward self-actualisation] deeply immersed in healing service, and rooted in manifest reality, now more able to make a positive impact on the world at large, through an embodied and integrated way of being, while inspiring or activating others through example, or acting as a healing bridge through love and forgiveness. Albion’s transit through Taurus highlights how powerful we become when we do the shadow work, and stay grounded and fully embodied as spiritual beings. It’s worth remembering that just one individual who is heart activated and grounded in the body can balance the energies of hundreds of other people, and in so doing help them heal and awaken to themselves in greater numbers.
