A note on forecasting:

The aim of forecasting isn’t simply to try and predict what is going to happen; the reader is not meant to be a passive receiver of a "fixed fate", in fact quite the opposite. The nature and purpose of forecasting is to build a living relationship with the archetypal energies in play: as we read, awareness is activated on deep levels that support the way we relate to a changing and dynamic collective field.

A connection is initiated with the living field matrix much like a generous handshake, salutation or greeting. In a sense it is a sacred tending of the spiritual fire; a way we can positively engage the imminence of the field, so that we can prepare and adjust to shifts in the energy around us. Like the strumming of chords on a guitar, we don’t have to remember everything precisely, but instead allow ourselves to be moved and attuned. In this way we already begin to respond even without really knowing. In some instances key themes may sing to us in ways that become more meaningful as the weeks pass and life events unfold.

Preamble:

The new moon can be thought of as a window in time when the Higher-Self initiates specific lessons or personal growth intentions for the coming month, and we can use the lunar cycle as a way of decoding evolutionary forces at a more granular level than the solar cycle or the transits of the slower moving planets.

For the spiritually minded person, the new moon is a time to receive the seed impulses for one’s personal evolution, and specifically those impulses toward bringing something new into conscious awareness. Each moon cycle fits into a larger cycle, which begins at the Aries new moon, and if you seriously want to track the unfolding pattern of higher-self guidance, it is a really good idea to record a log or journal of key messages and impressions received in the few hours before and after the new moon, roughly 4-5 hours on either side. During this window of time, make space to be more meditative and pay attention to your thoughts, inspirations, psychic messages and so on, as these will tend to correspond to the archetype the new moon is birthing in at the time, and correlate to the growth themes we are meant to work with during the month.

At some point in time (after a few months) you can look through your log and begin to see a key pattern unfolding, which can stimulate further insight in terms of life purpose.

Gemini expresses as the linear mind

The Gemini New Moon typically initiates movement outward towards connection, communication, travel, ideas and general social activity. Now the seed impulses, which we may have had some awareness of back in March, and which have been more quietly gestating deeper within, or we have been grounding into a semblance of form during the Taurus lunation, are now ready to move outward into the world in some way.

Perhaps it will be a new idea we begin sharing with those we trust; maybe we need to connect with new information to nourish our own creative impulses; maybe its time to get fresh perspective on the things we are dealing with…this month is a time for more activity, whether internal or external, and we can expect the somewhat slow plod of the Taurus energy to give way to something more dynamic.

Acceleration and sudden breakthroughs are on the rise

Pluto in Aquarius in trine to Uranus - newly in Gemini - provides us with high-octane fuel for accelerated change especially in the way we think, and as this Gemini lunation activates, we can expect things to get more speedy, and at times frenetic, because ideas are going to get faster this month. How this affects us individually will depend on how adaptable and ready for change we are, and if we aren’t feeling quite ready this could be a month when we feel overwhelmed by new information and not sure what to do with it.

As with all Gemini cycles it behoves us to guard against mental overwhelm and overstimulation: more information isn’t always better. If we took the time last month to ground the new seed impulse we probably won’t suffer any major difficulties, but if we skipped that step and kept too busy we might be feeling at the edge of coping as this lunation progresses. If this happens be courageous and slow down; give yourself the downtime you need.

With a T-Square, a fair few oppositions and a Yod formation, the chart cast for the Gemini New Moon is both energised and potentially taxing, so lets take a deeper look at the archetypal energies in play for the coming month…

Shadow integration as core work towards greater personal field-coherence

Nessus in close conjunction with T-Wako in Pisces forms the apex of a tense T-Square aspect with the New Moon and Dark Moon Lilith. This is going to make the lunation a gateway opportunity to clean up the field through responsible shadow integration; it might feel challenging to begin with, but the process will leave us more coherent as a whole, and this will be worth the work.

T-Wako (Teharonhiawako), as one of the newer celestial bodies, signifies a call to work with the shadow side of our nature in a healing and compassionate way, as we work more directly with pain and suffering as a catalyst for deep healing and awakening. Nessus often reflects inner aspects that have never truly been loved or accepted; often the more feminine aspects of self such as feelings and emotions, vulnerability, and intuition. A close square to the Gemini New Moon highlights a call to work with the shadow in ways that leave us feeling better overall, and more empowered in the longer term.

Dark Moon Lilith links this shadow work process to social shaming over intuition as a valid and useful function, as well as over how we express or live our personal truth. Dealing with these shadows will set us free to be more authentic and self-determining in the coming times.

Initiation, innovation, and new creative pathways

spiral staircase

A sizeable stellium of archetypes in Aries (if we include the asteroids), and especially Saturn, promotes the energy of new initiatives carried forward another month.

The fusion of Saturn with Salacia in exact conjunction describes an energy of structural dissolution driven by new light geometries coming in; this is a key time when the world is able to anchor in new light codes that once fully grounded and integrated will give us collective access to new potentialities for manifestation - if we have sufficient field coherence, these new light codes will begin to alter the personal timeline, perhaps radically changing it, such that higher positive outcomes become more accessible than before.

Saturn and Vesta in close conjunction, together with Pallas, strengthens and supports this seeding opportunity: Vesta puts the focus on new evolutionary pathways and spiritual warrior-ship (living by spiritual honour codes and acting from sovereignty), making it easier to diverge from the previous pattern. Pallas too encourages us to step forward into the unknown; her role is to protect new initiatives with inner guiding insights and strategies.

With Logos-Zoë in exact opposition to Saturn and Salacia, these new light geometries are tied to the new Christ-Sophia energy now emerging as Gaia moves through the ascension process. The challenge here is to have the courage to let go of old ways of being, trusting that the new emergent way is better, and will lead to more life fulfilment.

The Yod ~ Clearing patterns of shame frees us to become harbingers of a New Earth
black angel, white angel, gold disc

Yod formations are generally invitations to make inner adjustments to flow better and function with more efficiency and ease. Mars, Icarus and Albion team up with Mercury by sextile to deal with shame patterns connected to belief systems, and on a deeper level, shaming related to intuition and the pursuit of wisdom and understanding.

This can play out on many levels: for some it will put internal pressure on any personal beliefs that buy into distorted ideas that usually limit us in some way - these can be religious beliefs, materialist beliefs, scientific beliefs, or spiritual teachings that are not fully in alignment with the greater good. For others it can relate to false beliefs we have about ourselves, other people, or past events; the truth will want to be acknowledged.

More fundamentally the pressure will be to overcome shame connected to intuition and personal truth, and how we do or do not live by intuition and personal truth. This subtle internal obstacle will interrupt our ability to act creatively in the world; we will feel hesitance to move on something we feel is true, or worse feel blocked by a belief that interrupts the creative flow.

Mars and Albion in conjunction in Taurus, with Icarus close by, creates an archetypal fusion driving inspired and grounded action toward altruistic aims, and this is where the shame patterns will come up to be seen - a sense of feeling blocked can emerge - limiting beliefs will dampen such visions of what is possible, and it is these internal issues that must be brought into awareness to be resolved.

Earth globe, radiant light, stars

Of all the newer archetypes, Albion together with Haumea are perhaps the most aligned with a New Earth potentiality. Albion is imbuing the Mars function with a more integrated way that is both grounded, practical, and elevated. Icarus speaks to the willingness to surrender to the path that must be followed and the release of false paths; the ones we hoped to walk but cannot; the ones we thought were ours but are not.

The key theme here is in overcoming unresolved shame patterns so that we are more enabled to walk our personal path in alignment with the higher-power.

Finally…

This lunation is probably going to feel a bit challenging - we are tasked to integrate apparent opposites, resolve disparate parts of self, face shadow elements, and work steadily toward greater wholeness and energy-field coherence.

We need coherence if we want to receive the new light geometries available now. Without it we simply won’t be able to stabilise the new energy and ground it into the world.

There are quite a few oppositions in the new moon chart - again highlighting an invitation to integrate apparently opposing perspectives within or without. If we are willing to be adaptable and flexible this will be easier than if we choose to be fixed and dogmatic; resistance may eventuate in challenging life mirrors!

green heart, lotus, Venus symbol

Perhaps most primary of these oppositions is Pluto opposing Venus; this may bring the issues of values, resources and needs to the fore this month - we may have to take a stand over what we value, or get the balance right between personal needs and the needs of others. It is time to bring new emergent values and resources out into the social arena to be integrated and shared; we must try to do this in a harmonious way, paying attention to those we care about.
