A note on forecasting:

The aim of forecasting isn’t simply to try and predict what is going to happen; the reader is not meant to be a passive receiver of a "fixed fate", in fact quite the opposite. The nature and purpose of forecasting is to build a living relationship with the archetypal energies in play: as we read, awareness is activated on deep levels that support the way we relate to a changing and dynamic collective field.
A connection is initiated with the living field matrix much like a generous handshake, salutation or greeting. In a sense it is a sacred tending of the spiritual fire; a way we can positively engage the imminence of the field, so that we can prepare and adjust to shifts in the energy around us. Like the strumming of chords on a guitar, we don’t have to remember everything precisely, but instead allow ourselves to be moved and attuned. In this way we already begin to respond even without really knowing. In some instances key themes may sing to us in ways that become more meaningful as the weeks pass and life events unfold.
Preamble:
The new moon can be thought of as a window in time when the Higher-Self initiates specific lessons or personal growth intentions for the coming month, and we can use the lunar cycle as a way of decoding evolutionary forces at a more granular level than the solar cycle or the transits of the slower moving planets.
For the spiritually minded person, the new moon is a time to receive the seed impulses for one’s personal evolution, and specifically those impulses toward bringing something new into conscious awareness. Each moon cycle fits into a larger cycle, which begins at the Aries new moon, and if you seriously want to track the unfolding pattern of higher-self guidance, it is a really good idea to record a log or journal of key messages and impressions received in the few hours before and after the new moon, roughly 4-5 hours on either side. During this window of time, make space to be more meditative and pay attention to your thoughts, inspirations, psychic messages and so on, as these will tend to correspond to the archetype the new moon is birthing in at the time, and correlate to the growth themes we are meant to work with during the month.
At some point in time (after a few months) you can look through your log and begin to see a key pattern unfolding, which can stimulate further insight in terms of life purpose.
To begin with...
The Cancer New Moon moves the evolutionary cycle inward again. After all the mental activity and movement typical of a Gemini lunation, whatever we needed to learn and gather information about is now sufficient and what we most need to do is reconnect with emotions, family and close friend connections, and allow our creative impulses to gestate while we catch up with what we really feel about the changes that have happened, or are about to happen.
In a world that is much more comfortable with activity and mental focus, it is important that we remember that our feelings and emotions matter just as much. This is a time for family or friendhsip bonding; a time to withdraw a little to reconnect with what matters right now, and to anchor into what feels right. Some time alone might be needed.
Mercury is now retrograde adding to our personal process; it adds more internal pressure to release any mental dross - ideas and data that have reached their expiry date.
While the New Moon energy is calling us inward, the chart cast for the Cancer New Moon is very active with powerful dynamics including a Grand Fixed Square, 2 Yods, A Grand Minor Trine, and a fair few oppositions, so lets take a deeper dive into the archetypal themes on offer this month….

Powerful collective shifts toward the future

We are collectively awakening through a Grand Minor Trine that last happened around 1500 AD - this is what we call an epochal event, and such events are more potent due to their rarity.
A Grand Minor Trine occurs when two planets in trine (Pluto trine Uranus) are both also in sextile with a third planet (Neptune) - sextile angles are like trines; they are harmonious waveforms, and this alignment has already been active since around April 2025 and will continue for several more years. There are times however when the alignment is exact, and this new moon is one of those times, with the new moon energies acting as an inception point for some powerful collective shifts in awareness, perspective, and understanding - leading to cultural, technological and political changes later on.
When Pluto and Uranus are in trine, especially while they are both in air signs, there is amplified energy for radical shifts in awareness, and with Neptune at the apex, these shifts are moving us toward more frequency awareness, spiritual activation, and profound personal awakenings, where the veils are lifted, illusions dissolve, and greater truth arises from within; what is seen cannot be unseen, and en masse this is changing the world.
Passages to power; shedding old skins; the body is a temple

This Grand Minor Trine is not alone in the mix; it dovetails with a Grand Fixed Square featuring Pluto opposing Jupiter, while square to both Chiron and Haumea.
Chiron has spent time in Aries since 2019, and his transition into Taurus will bring about a change in the way we heal and bring our attention to different wound patterns:
In Aries, Chiron was activating war wounds, conflict patterns, and the breath of initiation through crisis.
In Taurus, Chiron shifts to healing through embodiment, grounding, and the reclaiming self-worth. We can expect herbal medicine to become
more active and edge more into the mainstream.
The focus moves from inwardly breaking free to rebuilding life stability - not through control, but through coherence. This ingress marks a collective shift from initiation through conflict to healing through embodiment.
Chiron has only just started his ingress into Taurus, and will quickly return to finish his cycle in Aries until April 2027, but this new moon energy will be asking us to begin anchoring in the new Chiron cycle within each of us through the emotional channel, and some of us may already feel intuitively what is coming next on a personal level as preparation.
For most of us, we have been observers of the wars rising in recent years, unable to physically stop or change them, while activated in one way or another by them: emotionally, mentally or spiritually. In our own life journeys we may also have noticed leaving old wound narratives behind in the years since 2019, and of course from that time onward the world experienced "covid" as another catalyst through crisis to break free and alter life direction, which many did.
The Crucible

While Pluto in Aquarius is the breath of collective transformation - exposing hidden power structures, dissolving control systems, and awakening humanity to its sovereign potential, and pushing the unseen to the surface, especially in politics and social systems.
Jupiter in Leo is the breath of personal sovereignty; an expansion of self-expression, leadership, and creative power. It invites us to step into our unique light and lead from the heart.
The opposition presents a clash of wills in the external world: the power of the people vs. the power of the rulers; the collective impulse for freedom vs. the ego desire for control.
But deeper yet, the real personal challenge is a test of how sovereignty can be expressed without domination. Can we lead without controlling? Can we stand in our power without eclipsing others?
While the Grand Minor Trine is initiating speedy shifts of consciousness and awakening, the fixed Grand Square is a stabilising force creating a crucible for powerful transformations.
Can you integrate your personal power with the collective need for freedom?
Can you lead from your heart while remaining subordinate to universal coherence?
Can you embody goddess wisdom while overcoming any deep unresolved issues connected with being here and self-worth ?
Above all, this is about testing in some way, the ability to hold both personal and collective sovereignty in coherence. It’s a chance to step into our full light - not as a ruler, but as a mirror of universal freedom.
The breath of awakening and integration

A Grand Minor Trine epochal alignment - a rare configuration - opens a portal for spiritual awakening through the unveiling of truth, and Neptune acts as a spiritual catalyst, dissolving illusions and revealing higher frequencies. This is initiating a spiral of expanded awareness, over several years, that allows humanity to see beyond old narratives.
This month, new energy dynamics symbolised by 2 Yods, activate a point of inner pressure; a karmic or evolutionary imperative that demands adjustment, integration, or transformation. Those who are ready will feel this as a call to fine tune:
The 1st Yod - Mars in Gemini sextile Varuna in Leo, with Quaoar and Pholus in conjunction in Capricorn at the apex. This opens a spiral of cosmic memory expressed through the divine feminine intuitive path, creating subtle shifts that alter individual and collective structures. Varuna calls us to elevate our Mars desire nature, and transform it into heart-coherent action.
The 2nd Yod - Neptune sextile Uranus, with Haumea in Scorpio at the apex. This is a call to make the necessary inner adjustments in order to become more aligned with the higher geometry of the New Earth - it can only be birthed through the death of old structures and the reconstruction of identity through feminine intuition. This is a call to embrace the spiral of transformation through dissolution.
Coherence building through shadow integration

The Cancer New Moon as a granular inception point is conjunct Mercury and makes a trine aspect to Nessus conjunct T-Wako in Pisces, and a sextile with Albion in Taurus.
T-Wako calls us to deal compassionately with our shadow nature in collusion with Nessus a shadow archetype linked to compulsive base urges and desires that must be tamed and overcome, often through deep psycho-spiritual journeying and healing work. When I see these two together it feels like a blessing: T-Wako represents a call to find the middle way through the balancing and integration of seemingly opposing forces within us. He represents the process by which we become ever more coherent through self-acceptance, and through Pisces this can be attained through compassion, love, forgiveness and healing. This is a very poignant collective symbol - there is much of this needed now.
It is the opportunity to look at the parts of self we secretly avoid and abhor, and by extension to see these parts reflected in others; in the shadows playing out in the world, and to bring them home.
Mercury in Cancer helps us see and understand with empathy, and when we do this, a fundamental shift happens within us that brings us to a new level of expansive embodiment; its like we can become more comfortable in our own skin.
Vesta the goddess of the hearth has just moved into a new phase conjunction with Pallas the conveyor of feminine wisdom; they are in close conjunction and something new is beginning in relation to what we most cherish and focus on in our lives. They are in a close square to the Cancer New Moon adding to the picture: we are being handed a new torch to carry forward - one that wants more feminine leadership in the way we live our lives. This means trusting more in the intuition and gut instincts to guide our decisions, and we might feel challenged to make this a priority over the old more masculine dominant way.
Finally…
It’s not unusual for the Cancer New Moon energy to move us into new territory despite the gentler more emotional temperament of the sign; Cancer is a cardinal sign and can get us to move toward what we think will make us happier and safer.
This is a powerful lunation that is best worked with emotionally; whatever initiates should be felt and we should encourage ourselves to feel through things as a priority. This is not so much a time to understand with the mental aspect, but to understand with our feelings. We don’t always need to know exactly why; we can know more gently which route to take.
Pluto trine Uranus is going feel more accelerated, and we might have trouble keeping up with all the breakthroughs and insights as our personal perspectives expand rapidly. This is all fine, but this month we must attend to how we feel, let the emotions catch up, and allow the wisdom of the feeling body to bring balance to the mind.
As we attend to our emotional side this month, we shouldn’t be surprised if aspects of the past come up for review and release, and if they do, just know that letting things go will feel good even if it does cause temporary internal stress and adjustment.
